  • Patent number: 9194213
Abstract: A packer for a well is described. The packer comprises at least one packing element, at least one anchoring element, and a mandrel coupled to the at least one anchoring element. The packer is arranged such that, once set, the mandrel is free to move with respect to the packing and anchoring elements. In one embodiment the at least one anchoring element is integral with the at least one packing element. In an alternative embodiment the at least one anchoring element is separate from the at least one packing element.

  • Patent number: 8820417
Abstract: A centraliser (10) for centralising a tubular (12) within a conduit is described. The centraliser comprises a centraliser body, at least one finger (14) pivotally mounted to the body and at least one collar (20), the/each collar being moveable with respect to the at least one finger. Relative movement between the/each collar and the body pivots the at least one finger from a run-in configuration to an extended configuration.

  • Patent number: 8689864
Abstract: A device for activating a downhole tool is described. The device comprises a first elongate member defining a toothed surface portion, a second elongate member defining a toothed surface portion and at least one pinion arrangement The/each pinion arrangement engages the toothed surface portions of the first and second members such that movement of one member in a first direction results in movement of the other member in a second direction, opposite the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20110127768
Abstract: A tubing section coupling comprises a first tubular portion and a second tubular portion (18,20) having an external surface adapted to slidingly engage an internal surface defined by the first tubular portion. The first and second tubular portions (18, 20) are axially restrained by means of a fixing device adapted to releasably connect the first and second tubular portions together. The first and second tubular portions (18, 20) each define a profile; the profiles are adapted to be connected to rotationally restrain the tubular portions.
