  • Publication number: 20210062770
Abstract: A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail, a fuel injector, and a clip. The fuel rail has a cup that defines an opening. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are axially aligned. The clip is secured to the fuel injector and engages the cup to orient the fuel injector radially relative to the cup. The clip has a tab that extends outward relative to the fuel injector. The tab defines a central orifice that is configured to receive a fastener. The fastener is configured to mount a wire harness.

  • Patent number: 10934986
Abstract: A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail cup, a fuel injector, and a retainer clip. The fuel rail cup extends along a longitudinal axis and defines an opening that extends radially outward from the longitudinal axis. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are aligned along the longitudinal axis. The retainer clip has a central body and at least one prong that protrudes upward from the central body. The central body engages the fuel injector and the at least one prong engages the fuel rail cup such that the clip inhibits axial movement of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup along the longitudinal axis and such that the clip inhibits rotation of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup about the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 10190557
Abstract: A cup is in a bottomed tubular shape to receive an injector along an injector axis. A bracket is extended from a sidewall of the cup. The bracket includes at least one arm and a body. The at least one arm connects the body with the cup. The body forms a screw opening configured to receive a screw along a screw axis. The body has a pivot end on an opposite side of the screw axis from the injector axis.

  • Patent number: 9957938
Abstract: An injector has an inlet body. A cup is in a bottomed tubular shape to hold the inlet body. The cup has a sidewall defining first apertures and second apertures. A first pin is inserted in the first apertures. A second pin is inserted in the second apertures. The first pin and the second pin are configured to hold the inlet body and to restrict rotation of the inlet body relative to the cup.

  • Patent number: 9399976
Abstract: A fuel delivery system including a high pressure fuel pump assembly. The assembly includes first and second output fuel paths each in communication with a fuel pump chamber. A main pressure relief fuel path is in communication with the fuel pump chamber and includes a pressure relief valve. A first relief fuel path is in communication with both the first output fuel path and the main pressure relief fuel path. A second relief fuel path is in communication with both the second output fuel path and the main pressure relief fuel path. The first and the second relief fuel paths are configured to restrict fuel flow therethrough between the first and the second output fuel paths.
