Abstract: The improved multi-processor data traffic management system comprises a connection brokering interface coupled to load balancing applications and connection brokering extension applications, which permit load balancing functions to be performed, concurrently if desired, on multiple processors, thereby improving the performance and speed of the system. Also described, an improved data traffic management system does content-based processing of both HTTP and non-HTTP data. This improved HTTP/non-HTTP system accesses discrete entities of data based on one of two event conditions: a minimum amount of non-HTTP data has been received or a maximum wait time for receiving non-HTTP data has been exceeded, both of which may be dynamically changed.
