  • Patent number: 8376290
Abstract: An interconnecting alignment and support system for supporting and maintaining alignment of at least one conduit or pipe is disclosed. The system may be used, for example, during a concrete pour operation or other construction operation. The system comprises a base spacer and, optionally, one or more of an intermediate spacer and/or another base spacer. The base spacer is constructed to be capable of interlocking with another spacer on each side and the top. The intermediate spacer is constructed to be capable of interlocking with another spacer on each side and both the top and bottom. The interlocks on the spacers may be releasably latched when fully interlocked. By interlocking the spacers, a matrix structure for aligning and supporting conduit or pipe may be created. The base spacer is attachable to a surface, so that the alignment and support system may be fixed in place.

  • Patent number: 7622668
Abstract: A wildlife protection guard for electrical power distribution equipment has an enclosure constructed to surround a power line connection and formed by a pair of half-shells. The enclosure has a base member, a sidewall extending from the base member, a tapered member extending from the sidewall, and a top member on the tapered member. The base member has a central opening with a plurality of flexible fingers. The top member has a central opening which defines a first port. A second opening is provided on the tapered sidewall to define a second port. The pair of half-shells is configured to be held in a closed configuration by a first latch on the sidewall and a second latch provided on a portion of the enclosure different from the sidewall. The pair of half-shells is connected together by a robust hinge configuration.

  • Publication number: 20060216134
Abstract: A clip cooperates with a fastener, such as a mounting screw, to hold the fastener securely in an object. The clip can be designed into the object or, for example, the objects designed to receive the clip. The construction of the clip not only allows an installer to “push” the fastener into the fastener-receiving hole a certain distance thereby obviating the need to screw all the threads to complete the installation, but also provides a greater holding force between the clip and the fastener, and thus the objects. The clip can also include one or more knife-edged tabs that engage the fastener.

  • Patent number: 6130381
Abstract: An electronic enclosure includes at least one wall coated with an intumescent fire retardant paint to prevent the spread of flame through the enclosure. The enclosure includes a wall having a plurality of apertures for allowing air to flow through the enclosure. The wall and the apertures are coated with intumescent fire retardant paint to constrict the apertures when the wall is subjected to elevated temperatures due to fire, to thereby minimize the flow of air through the apertures and prevent the spread of flame through the wall.
