  • Patent number: 11828461
Abstract: A dew point corrosion resistant heat exchanging system having a plurality of hollow heat transferring tubes through which cooler ambient air or hot combustion product gases flow. The other of the air or gas flows across the outer surfaces of the tubes, and heat is transferred from the hot gases to the ambient air, thus heating the air. A portion of the tubes includes an inner liner forming an air pocket chamber between the liner and the outer wall of the tube. The air pocket chamber provides heat transfer advantages that maintain the tubes at a temperature above the dew point of the gases in the system, thus inhibiting corrosion of the tubes.

  • Patent number: 10393989
Abstract: A focus control device is adapted to adjust a camera lens. The device comprises a rotational input device (1), a variable gear ratio means (10) and a rotational output means so coupled to communicate a first rotational movement applied to said rotational input device to said variable gear ratio means (10) and to communicate a second rotational movement from said variable gear ratio means (10) to said rotational output means. • Patent number: 9682652
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a control system for a sound controller configured to transmit sounds to a vehicle passenger cabin. The system includes a downshift sensor configured to detect a downshift of a vehicle transmission, and an accelerator pedal sensor that is configured to detect whether an accelerator pedal is actuated above a predetermined threshold. A controller controls operation of the sound controller in accordance with a sound control logic that is based on vehicle engine mode, transmission gear selection, accelerator pedal position, and vehicle engine speed. The controller also controls operation of the sound controller in accordance with an audible downshift logic if the downshift sensor detects a downshift of the vehicle transmission and the accelerator pedal sensor detects that the accelerator pedal is not actuated above the predetermined threshold, the audible downshift logic controlling the sound controller to enhance engine sound transmitted to the passenger cabin.

  • Publication number: 20170152447
Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for producing BTX and LPG, comprising: a) contacting a feed stream comprising C5-C12 hydrocarbons in the presence of hydrogen with a hydrocracking catalyst in a hydrocracking reactor to produce a hydrocracking product stream comprising hydrogen, methane, LPG and BTX, b) separating the hydrocracking product stream into a first gas stream and a first liquid stream, c) separating the first gas stream to obtain a second gas stream comprising hydrogen and methane and a second liquid stream comprising LPG and BTX, wherein the separation is performed such that the second liquid stream is substantially free of hydrogen and methane, d) separating the second liquid stream into a third gas stream comprising LPG and a third liquid stream comprising BTX, wherein step (c) involves adding a part of the third liquid stream to the first gas stream to absorb the LPG in the first gas stream to obtain the second liquid stream or adding a part of the third liquid stream to a gas stream sep c

  • Patent number: 9434251
Abstract: A method of controlling an all-wheel drive system of a vehicle includes supplying torque to front and rear wheels of the vehicle, sensing a failure of the all-wheel drive system, and adjusting a crankshaft torque of an engine of the vehicle so that the front wheel torque remains constant regardless of a failure of the all-wheel drive system.

  • Patent number: 9423022
Abstract: Some embodiments relate to determining an estimated torque output by a vehicular transmission. A first controller determines a target gear number and an actual gear number during shifting between the gears of the transmission, the target gear number being equal to a value of a gear number to which the transmission is shifting, the actual gear number being equal to a value of a gear number from which the transmission is shifting. A second controller compares the target gear number to the actual gear number and retrieves a blended gear number if the target gear number is greater than the actual gear number, determines an approximate value for a gear ratio that decreases in proportion to a rate of decrease in torque output by the transmission based on the blended gear number, and estimates a value of the torque output by the transmission based on the determined gear ratio.

  • Patent number: 5758351
Abstract: The present invention defines a consistent method and system for enabling components in an information system to invoke operations that may be distributed across multiple computing platforms, through the provision and use of executable operations whose behaviors are determined from information stored and extracted from a Catalog (164) using an Operation Definition Manager (82). The stored information is used by a Surrogate Object Definition Module (96) to define a Surrogate Object Type structure which enables execution of any of the operations described within it. A Surrogate Object Manager (94), along with an Operation Connection Manager (104, 118, 130 or 132), is provided which assists the user in developing applications by providing access to the definition of the input and output arguments of the operations included in the Surrogate Object Type structure (244).
