  • Publication number: 20250218193
Abstract: A system for verifying refuse collection includes a camera system coupled to a refuse vehicle and configured to detect an object on one or more sides of the refuse vehicle and one or more memory devices storing instructions thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive image data from the camera system; transmit the image data to an object detection system; determine whether the object is present at a location, whether the object is expected to be present for collection at the location, and whether the object is collected; and instruct the camera system to store an image of the location on the one or more memory devices.

  • Publication number: 20250187821
Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly, a tailgate assembly, and a lift system. The body assembly is coupled to the chassis and defines a primary refuse compartment. The tailgate assembly is rotatably coupled to the body assembly at a rear end of the refuse vehicle. The lift system is coupled to the tailgate assembly and includes a side-loading arm and an actuation mechanism. The side-loading arm is configured to engage a refuse container and move between a plurality of positions laterally away from the tailgate assembly. The actuation mechanism is configured to control movement of the side-loading arm.

  • Publication number: 20060170427
Abstract: An automated system for cycling vehicle lamps on and off allows direct inspection by one person of operability of the lamp bulbs while doing a walk around of the vehicle. The system is switch operated. Interlocks to operation are based upon the status of the vehicle's service brake, its park brake and the on/off status of the lights themselves. Lights are organized by related groups and each group given a distinctive, repeating cycle to lighten the burden of memorization on the operator.

  • Publication number: 20060124375
Abstract: An interlock for a vehicle platform lift meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 403) effective in late 2004 with minimum modification of vehicle electronic control arrangements. The interlock prevents forward and rearward mobility of vehicles unless the platform lift is stowed. The interlock operates to prevent accidental release but does not affect vehicle movement when the platform lift is stowed. Operation of the lift is allowed by placing the transmission in park or by placing the transmission in neutral and actuating the parking brake. A vehicle body computer controls operation when the vehicle is running. A bypass enable relay allows use when the vehicle's engine is not running.
