  • Patent number: 10793313
Abstract: A container (1) and a screwable closure (2) comprising a hollow body (11) and a neck finish (10) terminated by a wide-mouth opening (100). Said neck finish comprises a neck support ring (102) and a neck portion (101) extending between the wide-mouth opening (100) and the neck support ring (102). The neck portion (101) comprises an upper portion (1010) and a reinforced lower portion (1011). The inner face (1011 b) of the reinforced lower portion (1011) is transitioning to the inner face (1010b) of the upper portion (1010) along a transition step (1011c) in such a way that said reinforced lower portion (1011) is thicker than the upper portion (1010) at least in a top part of the reinforced lower portion (1011). The neck support ring (102) is below the removable closure (2).

  • Patent number: 10273071
Abstract: A hot-fillable plastic container includes a base and a body extending upward from the base. The includes a deformable cylindrical sidewall portion defining a central vertical axis, wherein the deformable cylindrical sidewall portion comprises at least two vertical pillars arranged along the body circumference. Each vertical pillar is joined to the next vertical pillar by a generally concave deformable sidewall panel having a concave arc-shaped transverse cross section of curvature radius. The curvature radii of the vertical pillars are smaller than the curvature radii of the generally concave deformable panels, and each transition between a vertical pillar and a generally concave deformable panel is smooth without any convex portion.

  • Publication number: 20150203268
Abstract: The hot-fillable plastic container (1) comprising a base and a body extending upward from the base; the body (11) comprises a deformable cylindrical sidewall portion (110) defining a central vertical axis (1a), wherein said deformable cylindrical sidewall portion (110) comprises at least two vertical pillars (111) arranged along the body circumference. Each vertical pillar (111) is joined to the next vertical pillar (111) by a generally concave deformable sidewall panel (112) having a concave arc-shaped transverse cross section of curvature radius (R). The curvature radii (r) of the vertical pillars (111) are smaller than the curvature radii (R) of the generally concave deformable panels (112), and each transition between a vertical pillar (111) and a generally concave deformable panel (112) is smooth without any convex portion.

  • Patent number: 7473755
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aromatic polyester composition for making stretch blow molded containers with improved strain hardening. The polyester composition according to the invention exhibits a low DEG content, a natural stretch ratio of <10, a half time of crystallization of >150 sec at 200° C. and comprises a sulfo-modified copolymer. Compared to polyesters of the prior art, the polyester of the present invention exhibits superior stretching characteristics, such as a lower natural stretch ratio (NSR), which allows for production of small PET bottles via thinner and longer parisons. Such thinner and longer parisons improve the production of small containers due to shorter cooling cycles.

The polyester composition exhibits a low DEG content, a natural stretch ratio of <10, a half time of crystallization of >150 sec at 200° C. and comprises a sulfo-modified copolymer. The invention further relates to a process for making small volume containers. Compared to polyesters of the prior art, the polyester of the present invention exhibits superior stretching characteristics, such as a lower natural stretch ratio (NSR), which allows for production of small PET bottles via thinner and longer pansons. Such thinner and longer pansons improve the production of small containers due shorter Cooling cycles.
