  • Patent number: 10954730
Abstract: A gate-valve and/or hot-tap drilling system uses a secondary pack-off or sealing element which can be engaged when the primary sealing element develops a leak. Generally, the secondary sealing element is configured to have an engaged position in which a fluid tight seal is formed such that the secondary sealing element engages the bore wall in a pressure-containing housing and drill rod extending through the bore defined by the bore wall. The fluid tight seal prevents fluid flow in the annulus, if the primary seal develops a leak. When the primary seal is working normally—no fluid leak—the secondary sealing element is in a disengaged position where a fluid tight seal is not formed with the bore wall and drill rod.

  • Patent number: 6030481
Abstract: Color swatch charts are formed by feeding sheets eighteen inches or longer in length with this long dimension of the sheet disposed transversely to the sheet travel direction. Ribbons in a row of eighteen inches or longer are simultaneously severed with the first and last swatch in each row of identical size and with the swatches having four square corners to form a rectangular shape. This orientation of the long axis of the sheet reduces the number of stations and the length of travel of the sheets, thereby increasing production. The sheets are fed through an adhesive applying station where spots of adhesive are applied in rows to the sheet. The sheet travels through a series of swatch forming and applying stations. At each such station, a plurality of swatch ribbons are fed forwardly and severed to form the individual swatches in a row; and a row of swatches is then transferred to and adhered by the adhesive spots on the sheet.

  • Patent number: 5704305
Abstract: A wind sailing vessel for sailing over a water surface comprising an arch shaped platform which disengageably engages first and second conventional windsurfing devices in a spaced, side-by-side relationship. The arch shaped platform further comprises two centerboards centrally located on the platform bottom surface between the windsurfing devices for providing maneuverability. The arch shaped platform can be disengaged from the windsurfing devices, allowing each of the devices to be sailed separately as a typical windsurfing vessel. Affixed to the bottom surface of the platform are a plurality of fastening plates allowing for different degrees of inclination or balance during attachment to accommodate the top surfaces of the windsurfing devices. The two centerboards of the arch shaped platform each define an aperture for engageably receiving an axle wheel combination used to transport the wind sailing vessel to and from the water.
