  • Publication number: 20110321033
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for model based provisioning of applications and servers (both physical and virtual) to execute provisioned applications in a reliable and repeatable manner. Several aspects of a complex application management including compliance, change tracking, monitoring, discovery, processing steps, CMDB integration are disclosed within a comprehensive hierarchy of definition templates forming a model. This model can then be used at provisioning time to instantiate a compliant instance of the provisioned application. This model can also be used at run-time for managing run-time aspects of the provisioned application. Additionally, the model based approach can help track applications even when or if applications drift from their intended design and policies for use.

  • Patent number: 6984901
Abstract: A battery-powered washing unit is described which includes a motor drive unit driven by a DC battery pack with a yoke attached around the motor drive unit. An elongate and extendable handle is connected to the yoke for the user to grasp, and various brushes are connectable to the output shaft of the motor drive unit. Preferably the battery pack is sealed and self-contained and includes an integrated switch member at the top of the battery pack which consists of two powered positions, a low power and high power for various rotary speeds of the brush. Furthermore, the connection between the yoke and the motor drive unit consists of a locking mechanism having at least two locked positions, and a swivel position where the motor drive unit and the brush can swivel relative to the brush handle.

  • Patent number: 6976313
Abstract: A battery-powered carving knife is shown having a housing and a switch, which connects and disconnects a battery to a motor. A drive mechanism including a worm gear together with a cam member causes reciprocation of reciprocating blade mounts to reciprocate back and forth in an out of phase fashion. The motor is positioned forward within the housing in motor receiving section, with the drive shaft of the motor facing rearwardly. The blade mounts are driven by the motor, and reciprocate in a position below the motor. The motor and blade mounts are positioned in front of a handgrip section, thereby improving the ergonomics of the device. Alternatively, the drive shaft can be positioned facing forward.

  • Publication number: 20030230982
Abstract: A light switch dimmer device for operating and controlling a current supply to a lighting fixture up to seven hundred (700) watts wherein the light switch dimmer includes a mean for receiving power, a triac, a trigger diode electrically connected to the triac, an RC circuit component shunt, and a variable resistor between 300k ohms and 500k ohms for controlling the voltage to the trigger diode which controls the phase of the triac thereby dictating the voltage applied to a light fixture load. The dimmer may comprise a one-way or three-way switch.
