Abstract: A curable composition for making polyisocyanurate comprising products obtained by combining and mixing at an isocyanate index of at least 100 at least a polyisocyanate composition, a polytetrahydrofuran polyol (P-THF) having average molecular weight in range 1000-5000 g/mol as toughening agent and diols having an average molecular weight <1000 g/mol.

Abstract: A polymer having the following general formula: where, PU is a polymer chain comprising at least one polyurethane chain; n ranges from 0 to 8; and X, Y and Z, identical or different, are H-bonding sites. Also provided is a supramolecular polymer comprising units that form H-bonds with one another, wherein at least one of these units is a polymer according to the invention. The supramolecular polymer is useful as a hot melt adhesive, in rotational or slush molding, in injection molding, and in the manufacture of thermoplastic polyurethane foams. Further provided is a process for the preparation of the polymer on bench and commercial scales.

Abstract: Novel chain extender that is a diamino-substituted heterocycle of formula I, and its use in the manufacture of polyurethanes (PUs), the PUs thus obtained, reactive compositions containing said chain extender, and processes for manufacturing PUs.
