Abstract: In various example embodiments, systems and methods to provide proximity recommendations are provided. In example embodiments, data representing prioritized recommendations for a user is received. The data representing the prioritized recommendations is used to generated a composite visual representation by embedding select prioritized recommendations into a visual representation. • Publication number: 20110231291
Abstract: In various example embodiments, systems and methods to navigate item listings using a slider histogram include receiving a request from a client device and determining a list of item listings satisfying the request. Additionally, a histogram based on an attribute found in the item listings of the list is determined. The list and the histogram are provided to the client device, the histogram including a slider that allows refinement of the item listings being displayed based on a position of the slider on the histogram.

  • Publication number: 20110145062
Abstract: A display characteristic determination machine receives a request to display seller-related content that references an item available for sale. The display characteristic determination machine identifies a display characteristic available from a web server, determines that the seller-related content is to be displayed using the display characteristic, and communicates to the web server that the seller-related content is to be displayed using the display characteristic and with primary content. The display characteristic determination machine may function as an allocation device to allocate use of the display characteristic. This functionality may be scaled, for example, to include determining use of multiple display characteristics, available from multiple web servers, by multiple instances of seller-related content requested for display by multiple sellers of multiple items.

  • Patent number: 7103835
Abstract: A process builder for a system of routing electronic documents and a method for using the same are provided. The process builder receives an electronic document having programmable features. The process builder determines a number of attributes and form fields from the electronic document. Data input is received by the process builder from an electronic document author via a graphical user interface. The process builder defines logical conditions for one or more of the form fields and attributes based on the received data input, and combines the logical conditions into logical expressions. The process builder then translates the logical expressions into program code and inserts the generated program code into the electronic document.

  • Patent number: 6704906
Abstract: This invention provides for a self-directed routable electronic form generation system and method where each user in the process defines the next, or all the subsequent user routing. The invention resides in providing rules and guidelines that define routing to exist completely within the electronic form itself. Residing in the electronic form these routing rules are dynamically changed based on data input to the form, providing visual clues to the routing based on that input. The present invention generates in the approver's view of the form appropriate visual elements corresponding with allowable actions of this subsequent viewer. The present invention also provides visual clues as to the next routing destination based on the electronics form current fill-in data, or based on any changes the approver makes to fill-in data, all without server interaction. This sequence continues until the electronics “form flow” is complete and an end point is reached.
