  • Patent number: 10188407
Abstract: When an acetabular cup used in hip replacement surgery is to be affixed to the acetabulum using screws, the drill guide instruments of the invention are used to position a drill bit so that the screw holes drilled in the acetabulum are properly placed for optimum implantation of the acetabular cup. The drill guide is locked into the acetabular cup by spring loaded pins which position the guide over holes in the cup which accommodate the screws. The guide is used to position the drill bits and allow drilling. After drilling the guide is removed.

  • Publication number: 20140067431
Abstract: A computer system including a server and software, for example, provides items and services for injuries under workman's compensation coverage through a web portal. An automated request to provide an item is transmitted from the server over the network setting a specific price, such that the one or more of a plurality of providers is capable of accepting the automated request using the network connected to the server. A care cart may be customizable by the adjuster or the adjuster's employer. Items are added to automatically by the system to a care cart using an automated algorithm relating specific items to both an injury code and a zip code, and the system transmits the care cart to the adjuster portal and presents the adjuster with options.

  • Publication number: 20090237648
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing Raman spectrometry wherein a Raman spectroscopy system is mounted on a vehicle for on the move contaminant analysis. The system is configured to interrogate a target with a laser at a predetermined pulse repetition frequency (PRF), wherein during each PRF cycle, defined as 1/PRF, the laser is dual pulsed at a first wavelength and at a second wavelength. Raman spectra are collected and used to identify the target by matching a Raman signature with a given collected Raman spectra.

  • Publication number: 20090196033
Abstract: An illumination system includes a housing, at least one first light source, and at least one second light source. The at least one first light source emits visible light. The at least one second light source emits IR light. The at least one first light source and the at least one second light source are arranged to emit steady and intermittent light.

  • Publication number: 20050230334
Abstract: A portable folding field stand for supporting multiple fully assembled paintball markers by their barrels and air tanks in a horizontal, upright position; consisting of a rectangular base section; a barrel support bulkhead; and a tank support bulkhead. The base section is hingedly attached along one edge to the barrel support bulkhead edge and along an opposing edge to the tank support bulkhead. The tank support bulkhead has uniformly spaced tank support yokes, and the barrel support bulkhead has corresponding barrel support yokes. The bulkheads are foldable on the base section between two positions, open for use and closed for transport or storage. Both bulkheads have L shaped profiles that extend the available underside area of support when open and provide a suitcase-like profile to the stand when closed. The barrel support yokes are individually vertically adjustable to accommodate different markers.
