Patent number: 11961138Abstract: A tracking and recording system is provided for tracking and documenting personal property. Personal property, such as electronic or “IOT” devices having a communication interface, are placed in communication with a tracking system which receives information from those items of personal property and utilizes that information to verify the location and/or existence of the property. A record of the personal property may also be created which includes information which identifies the property, liens, transfers of ownership, and verifications of the location of the property. The record may comprise a block chain of information regarding the property.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Crediot, Inc.Inventor: Steven Mack

Publication number: 20240096147Abstract: A scanner monitors a vehicle engine module's performance, such as, for example, a vehicle engine powertrain by creating and compiling performance data either in real time or based on a data post-processing schedule. A preventive maintenance or repair is suggested if the critical boundaries of a probable failure are reached.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2022Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Alex Mack, Paul Berke, Steven Mieland, Andrei Makartchouk

Publication number: 20230119954Abstract: Described herein is a system for responding to a frustrated user with a response determined based on spoken language understanding (SLU) processing of a user input. The system detects user frustration and responds to a repeated user input by confirming an action to be performed or presenting an alternative action, instead of performing the action responsive to the user input. The system also detects poor audio quality of the captured user input, and responds by requesting the user to repeat the user input. The system processes sentiment data and signal quality data to respond to user inputs.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2022Publication date: April 20, 2023Inventors: Isaac Joseph Madwed, Julia Kennedy Nemer, Joo-Kyung Kim, Nikko Strom, Steven Mack Saunders, Laura Maggia Panfili, Anna Caitlin Jentoft, Sungjin Lee, David Thomas, Young-Bum Kim, Pablo Cesar Ganga, Chenlei Guo, Shuting Tang, Zhenyu Yao

Patent number: 11508372Abstract: Techniques for performing runtime ranking of skill components are described. A skill developer may generate a rule indicating a skill component is to be invoked at runtime when a natural language input corresponds to a specific context. At runtime, a virtual assistant system may implement a machine learned model to generate an initial ranking of skill components. Thereafter, the virtual assistant system may use skill component-specific rules to adjust the initial ranking, and this second ranking is used to determine which skill component to invoke to respond to the natural language input. Overtime, if a rule results in beneficial user experiences, the virtual assistant system may incorporate the rule into the machine learned model.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2020Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Michael Schwartz, Joe Pemberton, Steven Mack Saunders, Archit Jain, Alexander Go

Patent number: 11450325Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for using user feedback to determine routing decisions in a speech processing system. In various examples, first data representing a first utterance may be received. Second data representing a first semantic interpretation of the first utterance may be determined. A first intent data processing application may be selected for processing the second data. Feedback data may be determined related to the first intent data processing application processing the second data. Third data representing a semantic interpretation of a second utterance may be received, wherein the first semantic interpretation is the same as the second semantic interpretation. A second intent data processing application may be determined for processing the third data based at least in part on the feedback data.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2019Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Rajesh Kumar Pandey, Arun Kumar Thenappan, Isaac Joseph Madwed, Joe Pemberton, Steven Mack Saunders, Siddharth Mohan Misra

Patent number: 10989509Abstract: Primer adapter assemblies have a body having a cylindrical exterior sidewall adapted to be closely received in a chamber having a chamber diameter, the body defining a central passage including a cylindrical aft portion adapted to closely receive a primer having a primer diameter greater than or equal to the chamber diameter, the body having an aft surface, and a malleable skirt extending aft of the aft surface and defining an installation aperture, the malleable skirt being operable to deform inward to form an opening having a diameter less than the primer diameter, such that a primer in the cylindrical aft portion of the central passage is retained. The skirt may have a tapered cross-section. The skirt may encircle the central passage. The skirt may be concentric with the central passage. The body may include a flange defining the aft surface and having a diameter greater than the chamber diameter.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2017Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: COMBINED SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Ralph E. Publication number: 20070220715Abstract: The Easy-Tie combines the better of the two primary types of tie downs, the buckle and the ratchet. Each tie is a sealed unit and, therefore, parts of the tie cannot be lost. The unit incorporates the soft tie and the ratchet, which are permanently attached (unlike almost all other ratchet ties). With the bike on its kickstand, loosely attach the Easy-Tie on the bike and to the anchor point. Mount the bike, center it, and pull up on the straps (buckle side). This takes the slack out of the straps and holds the bike upright. Dismount motorcycle, and use the ratchets to secure the motorcycle and finalize the tie down. To release the motorcycle, push one of the buckles. The ratchets never have to be loosened when a load exists on the straps. The Easy-Tie allows one person to tie down their motorcycle in about one minute.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2005Publication date: September 27, 2007Inventor: Steven Mack

Publication number: 20070106586Abstract: A system and method for monitoring physical assets. An asset is registered at a site and simultaneously appraised for value. The registered asset is periodically evaluated over time to estimate and record value fluctuations in the asset. Upon request, the asset's current value is reported. Asset owners are periodically offered new or upgraded versions of existing registered assets, and a time and quality dependent buy-back voucher in the amount of the registered asset's current estimated value based on the asset in question conforming to the valuation algorithm. The buy-back voucher may be redeemed at the appropriate retail establishment.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2005Publication date: May 10, 2007Inventor: Steven Mack
