  • Publication number: 20070080099
Abstract: The invention pertains to a process and catalyst for removing arsenic and one or more other metal compounds, e.g. silicon, vanadium and nickel, from a hydrocarbon feedstock. The catalyst comprises a molybdenum compound and a nickel compound on a carrier. The catalyst has a surface area of at least 200 m2/g. Next to contaminant removal, the catalyst is also suitable for hydrodesulphurisation, hydrodenitrogenation and/or hydrogenation.

  • Patent number: 5192096
Abstract: A door lock assembly includes a housing-carried set of interactive operating components for mounting on a closure for releasingly engaging a keeper that is carried by structure located adjacent to an opening through which access is controlled by positioning the closure selectively in "open" and "closed" positions. The lock assembly is "slam-capable" in that its operating components include a pair of oppositely pivoted, spring-biased latch members that are movable into latching engagement with the keeper as the closure is "closed". The lock assembly has a two-part housing formed from first and second members that extend in congruent overlying relationship to define a first passage for receiving portions of the keeper as the closure is "closed." Second and third passages open through opposed side walls of the first passage to permit the opposed latch members to move into gripping engagement with portions of the keeper that are received within the first passage.

  • Patent number: 4969916
Abstract: Flush mountable latches and locks for industrial cabinets, tool carts, electrical equipment enclosures and the like utilize versatile housings of novel configuration together with push-to-operate handles that are pivotally movable relative to the housings to effect unlatching movements of spring-biased, pivotally mounted latch bolts. The lock-type embodiment has a locking mechanism that is mounted on the housing to selectively permit and prevent unlatching movements of its pivotal latch bolt. The resulting arrangement provides sturdy latch and lock assemblies that employ a small number of relatively movable parts that can be assembled, installed and serviced with ease. Improved features include the provision of a plural part handle assembly having portions that are configured to cooperate with a resilient, weather resistant boot that optionally may be interposed between housing and handle assembly components.

  • Patent number: 4850209
Abstract: Flush mountable pulls, latches and locks for industrial cabinets, tool carts, electrical equipment enclosures and the like utilize a versatile housing together with other components of novel form mounted on the housing to provide a variety of desired features. Pull handles as well as latch and lock operating handles of a wide variety of types can be connected to the housing, as can a wide variety of latch bolt mechanisms that are configured to engage various types of strikers or keeper formations. The resulting arrangement provides sturdy pull, latch and lock assemblies that employ a small number of parts that can be assembled, installed and serviced with ease.

  • Patent number: 4841755
Abstract: Flush mountable latches and locks for industrial cabinets, tool carts, electrical equipment enclosures and the like utilize versatile housings of novel configuration together with a variety of types of handles that are movable relative to the housing to effect unlatching movements of spring-projected slide bolts. Locking mechanisms are mountable on the housings to selectively permit and prevent unlatching movements of the latch bolts. The resulting arrangement provides sturdy latch and lock assemblies that employs a small number of relatively movable parts that can be assembled and serviced with ease.

  • Patent number: 4838056
Abstract: Flush mountable latches and locks for industrial cabinets, tool carts, electrical equipment enclosures and the like utilize versatile housings of novel configuration together with pivotally nestable and extensible handles that are movable relative to their housings to effect latching and unlatching movements of a resilient, expansible latch member. Locking mechanisms are mountable on the housings to selectively permit and prevent unlatching movements of the latch member. The resulting arrangement provides sturdy latch and lock assemblies that employ a small number of relatively movable parts that can be assembled and serviced with ease.

  • Patent number: 4706478
Abstract: A rotary handle operated lock includes a pan-shaped housing member that has a back wall at the base of a forwardly facing recess. A guide member is welded to the rear face of the back wall and cooperates with the back wall to define a sturdy guide channel which slidably mounts a control member form movement between locked and unlocked positions. A shaft extends through aligned holes that are formed in the back wall and in the guide member, and through a keyhole shaped slot that is formed in the control member. The shaft has a front end region that carries a pivotally mounted, nestable operating handle, and a rear end region that carries a latching arm. The operating handle and the latching arm rotate with the shaft between latched and unlatched positions.
