Abstract: A loose clothing holder for releasibly retaining loose clothing around a user's waist comprises a strap of material, having two sides and two ends, the strap being sufficiently flexible so that the strap may be positioned around the clothing sleeves. Preferably, the strap comprises a single layer of fabric sold under the trademark, Cordura and manufactured by E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company Wilmington, Del. 1. The loose clothing sleeve holder has a fastening mechanism coupled to each end of the strap at opposite sides thereof. The fastening mechanism preferably comprises cooperating hook and loop fastener fabric. The loose clothing holder may also have a label coupled to the upper side of the strap which label may contain graphics or other logos. Preferably, the label comprises fabric transfer paper. The loose clothing holder may also have reflective fabric coupled to the upper side of the strap.

Abstract: A method enables a gas turbine engine compressor including a stator assembly and a rotor assembly to be assembled. The method comprises providing a casing formed from a plurality of rings, and coupling a first of the casing rings around the rotor assembly such that a radially inner surface of the first casing ring is axially aligned with, and radially outward from, a row of rotor blades extending from the rotor assembly. The method also comprises coupling a second of the casing rings to the first casing ring with a fastener assembly, such that the first casing ring radially inner surface facilitates insulating the fastener assembly from the compressor flowpath.

Abstract: A decorating paint applying device and method is disclosed, which is helpful for painting floral and leafy vegetation or special effects having a 3-dimensional effect. The device is composed of a one piece, unitary, paint retaining, compressible, resiliently self-restoring soft body having two designing surfaces with a compressed middle portion. The top surface is defined by a number of upstanding projections being independently compressible, and a flat undersurface. The body has outside edges defined by a number of protrusions. Manual handling of the device in applying paint to the body, thereafter correctly positioning and compressing to apply, produces alternating painted and unpainted areas depicting clusters of spaced apart leaves and floral petals or special effects. The method consists of applying threads of varying colors of paint onto the device which has been wet with a base color. Next, folding and compressing to mingle colors and applying by compressing onto a receptive surface.

Abstract: An alarm system for e.g. vehicles has an alarm condition detector, an auto-dialing mechanism activated by the detector and a radio telephone connected by the auto-dialler to an alarm receiving station. A recording includes a message noting the location of the vehicle when left sent as part of the alarm message.
