Publication number: 20220186921Abstract: An underwater light having a replaceable light-emitting diode (LED) module and cord assembly is provided. The underwater light includes a lens, a bezel, a screw, a cable attachment assembly, a mounting flange, a rear housing, a fastening assembly, an internal lens, a printed circuit board (PCB) including light-emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted thereon, a heat sink, and an electronics assembly. The assembly of the underwater light provides for the dissipation of heat away from the PCB thereby cooling the LEDs and electronic components mounted thereon. The electrically non-conductive nature of the exterior components of the underwater light permit the underwater light to be installed in any location in a pool or spa. Since the exterior of the underwater light is electrically non-conductive, no specific bonding or grounding of the underwater light is necessary.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2020Publication date: June 16, 2022Applicant: Hayward Industries, Inc.Inventors: Danny Raposo, James Carter, Steven Mitchell, Jeffrey Cho, Yevgeny Rapoport

Publication number: 20220168927Abstract: An automated manufacturing method and system and in-mold coated plastic article produced thereby are provided. The system includes a combination compression and injection mold and a plurality of program-controlled manipulators. An automatic sprayer supported on a first manipulator sprays at least a portion of a mold surface with an in-mold coating composition. An end effector supported on a second manipulator picks up a heated blank of moldable plastic sheet material from an oven and places the heated blank in the mold. An inner portion of the heated blank is forced into an article-defining cavity of the mold and into contact with at least a portion of the composition. The composition and the inner portion cure and bond to one another and a plastic compatible with the plastic of the sheet is injected into the mold so as to form the coated plastic article.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2020Publication date: June 2, 2022Applicant: Global IP Holdings, LLCInventors: Christopher A. Publication number: 20220171064Abstract: Through discrimination of the scattered signal polarization state, a lidar system measures a distance through semi-transparent media by the reception of single or multiple scattered signals from a scattering medium. Combined and overlapped single or multiple scattered light signals from the medium can be separated by exploiting varying polarization characteristics. This removes the traditional laser and detector pulse width limitations that determine the system's operational bandwidth, translating relative depth measurements into the conditions of two surface timing measurements and achieving sub-pulse width resolution.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2022Publication date: June 2, 2022Inventors: Jeffrey P. Thayer, Geoffrey Crowley, Andrew W. Gisler, Steven Mitchell, Matthew Hayman
