  • Patent number: 11847723
Abstract: This application is directed to matching edges of polygons representing neighboring regions in a map user application. A computer system obtains a first polygon and a second polygon, and the second polygon is connected to the first polygon via polygon edges that are at least partially mismatched. Automatically and without user intervention, the computer system combines the first polygon and the second polygon to form a joined polygon defined by an outline of the first polygon and the second polygon. A region defined by the second polygon is subtracted from a region defined by the joined polygon to form a new region. The computer system defines an updated first polygon as an outline of the new region and renders, on a screen, the updated first polygon and the second polygon with matching edges.

  • Publication number: 20230377228
Abstract: A computing device receives a first user input that includes user selection of a first data field of a data source from a schema information region of a user interface and placement of the first data field into a data visualization region of the user interface. When the first data field corresponds to a geographic data field, the computing device determines longitude and latitude information for data values of the first data field. The computing device generates a map data visualization corresponding to the first data field according to the determined longitude and latitude information. The map data visualization includes a first layer having a first set of data marks corresponding to the first data field. The computing device displays, in the data visualization region, the map data visualization including the first set of data marks.

  • Patent number: 11751598
Abstract: A produce cutting apparatus is utilized, among other things, for making single cuts in an elongated produce product to trim ends, segment the product into variable length segments, make fixed length segments, and cutting out undesirable portions of the produce product. Using a combination of a feed belt, sensor, radial cutter apparatus and programmable controller, the apparatus precisely locates each cut. The cutting blade makes a single cut with each rotation of the radial cutter apparatus. The apparatus may further have a piece removal system and a product holding system.

  • Patent number: 11715245
Abstract: A method generates map visualizations with multiple map layers. A user selects a data source with geographic data. A device displays a data visualization user interface, including a schema information region with data fields, and shelf regions that defining characteristics for a data visualization. The user selects a first geographic data, and the user interface generates a map data visualization using coordinates associated with the first geographic data field. The visualization includes a first plurality of data marks in a first layer. The user selects a second geographic data field. In response, the user interface displays a new layer icon. Upon activation of the new layer icon by the second geographic data field, the user interface superimposes a second layer over the existing map data visualization to form an updated map data visualization. The second layer includes a second plurality of data marks corresponding to the second geographic data field.

Abstract: A soft magnetic composite comprising an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material coated with an oxide material. An interface between the ferromagnetic material and the layer of oxide contains antiphase domain boundaries. Two processes for producing a soft magnetic composite are also provided. One process includes depositing an oxide layer onto an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material by molecular beam epitaxy at a partial oxygen pressure of from 1×10?5 Torr to 1×10?7 Torr to form a coated composite. The other process includes milling an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material powder and an oxide powder by high-energy milling to form a mixture; compacting the mixture and curing in an inert gas atmosphere at a temperature from 500° C. to 1200° C. to form a soft magnetic composite.

  • Patent number: 11665453
Abstract: Described is a transformer end-of-life thermal transmitting indicator (thermal transmitting indicator) that is configured and well suited for monitoring the health of a transformer and communicating the health of the transformer to an end user by way of a cellular transceiver. The thermal transmitting indicator can be configured to alert nearby people of an impending transformer explosion if the transformer fails. The thermal transmitting indicator is also arranged to transmit any problems or impending danger from the transformer to the end user who can then respond by preemptively dealing with the failing transformer. The thermal transmitting indicator comprises liquid sensors spaced in its housing to sense if water or high humidity has infiltrated the housing.

  • Publication number: 20220382892
Abstract: Methods for centralized access control for cloud relational database management system resources are performed by systems and devices. The methods utilize a central policy storage, managed externally to database servers, which stores external policies for access to internal database resources at up to fine granularity. Database servers in the processing system each receive external access policies that correspond to users of the system by push or pull operations from the central policy storage, and store the external access policies in a cache of the database servers for databases. For resource access, access conditions are determined via policy engines of database servers based on an external access policy in the cache that corresponds to a user, responsive to a resource access request from a device of the user specifying the internal resource. Data associated with the resource is provided to the user based on the access condition being met.

  • Patent number: 11509610
Abstract: A real-time messaging system platform receives from, a communication application installed on a first user communication device, a first user identifier, an indication that a messaging service message composed by the first user is being directed to a first destination associated with a second user, and an identification of data present in the messaging service message. The identification of the data and a message transmission history of the first user is used to enable selection of a message of a first entity. The selected message of the first entity is caused to be displayed by the communication application within a message framework that frames the first user messaging service message. The first entity message is caused to be included in the messaging service message transmitted to the second user device, wherein the first entity is not provided with access to the identity of the first user or the second user.
