Abstract: Non-disruptive insertion of a storage appliance provides virtualized storage. A first logical device of a data storage system is exposed to a first host and a second host. A data store of the first logical device is uniquely identified using a signature. After inserting the storage appliance between the first host and the data storage system, the first logical device is presented, through the storage appliance, to the first host as a second logical device. After inserting the storage appliance between the second host and the data storage system, the first logical device is presented, through the storage appliance, to the second host as the second logical device. The first and second hosts identify the second logical device and the first logical device as the same logical device using the signature. The data store may be a virtual machine file system data store used by virtual machines on the hosts.

The selected message of the first entity is caused to be displayed by the communication application within a message framework that frames the first user messaging service message. The first entity message is caused to be included in the messaging service message transmitted to the second user device, wherein the first entity is not provided with access to the identity of the first user or the second user.

In some alternatives, once an eating disorder, nutritional deficiency, or malnutrition is detected, identified, or diagnosed using the X-ray diffraction approaches set forth herein, a subject identified as having an eating disorder, nutritional deficiency, or malnutrition is provided counseling for the disorder and/or a medicament to treat, inhibit, or ameliorate said eating disorder or malnutrition, including Prozac, ami trip tyline, fluoxe tine, imipramine, Nardil, Tofranil, desipramine, Sarafem, Norpramin, and/or phenelzine.

Abstract: A method for dynamically localizing content of a graphical user interface widget executed on a widget runtime model of a computing platform on a user device includes configuring the graphical user interface widget to provide first location-responsive content in a presentation runtime model by defaulting to a static geographic location, wherein the graphical user interface widget provides the first location-responsive content based on the static geographic location, receiving a configuration setting to configure the graphical user interface widget for a localized mode, retrieving a geographic location for the user device, and providing the retrieved geographic location to the widget runtime model for the graphical user interface widget to select second location-responsive content, wherein the graphical user interface widget switches to provide the second location-responsive content based on the retrieved geographic location.

Abstract: A fire hydrant valve removal tool has a torque multiplier at the top end, a torque stabilizing bushing which keeps the transmission of torque straight from the top of the hydrant above ground to the valve in the bottom of the hydrant underground, a hydrant mounting adapter which at the lower end matches the flanges and holes of the hydrant so that the valve removal too may be bolted directly to the hydrant for stability, a drive which fits over the hydrant stem all the way down to the valve, and improved valve keys having a conical internal section allowing easy fitting over the hydrant stem. In addition the present invention teaches a rescue key which is designed to easily slide down into the valve body itself and apply torque to the guides/blades of the valve itself.

Abstract: A device obtains access to an application resource from a remote application server based on an authenticated device identifier. The device sends a request to access the application resource provided by the remote application server. The device receives a first message from the remote application server directing the device to send an authentication message to a device identity server. The authentication message requests an authenticated device identity for the device. The device attaches metadata associated with the device to the authentication message and sends the authentication message with the attached metadata to the device identity server. The device receives the authenticated device identity from the device identity server and sends the authenticated device identity to the remote application. The device obtains access to the application resource from the remote application server based on the authenticated device identity.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications connector having cross-talk compensations, and a method of managing alien crosstalk in such a connector. In one example, the telecommunications connector includes electrical conductors arranged in differential pairs and a circuit board with conductive layers that provide a cross-talk compensation arrangement for applying capacitance between the electrical conductors. The circuit board includes conductive paths that provide capacitive coupling and a conductive plate that intensifies capacitive coupling of the electrical conductors. In another example, the telecommunications connector is used with a twisted pair system.

Abstract: A printed circuit board (PCB) includes a plurality of layers and electronic components connected to its top surface. The PCB also includes a plurality of trace layers, each located at a respective depth within the layers of the PCB. A plurality of vias provide signal pathways for the trace layer. Upon their manufacture, the vias include a stub portion not necessary for the signal pathways and causing degradation of the integrity of these signal pathways. Embodiments mill the bottom of the PCB to form a variable-depth cavity. The different milling depths of the variable-depth cavity are selected to remove the stub portions of the plurality of vias and the dielectric material between the stubs. By configuring the PCB power planes as the topmost trace layers, decoupling capacitors may be located at the greatest depth of the variable-depth cavity, thus reducing the loop inductance in the power circuit of the PCB.

Abstract: A network node in a service function chain system receives a peer detection packet from a service function device in a service function path. The peer detection packet includes an inner packet with a header, such as a network service header. The network node detects a status indicator in the header that indicates a degradation in performing a service function at the service function device. The network node adjusts the service function path to compensate for the degradation in performing the service function at the service function device.

In one example, the panel includes a panel housing having a first side and a second side, one or more data connectors on the first side, and a power input signal connector on the first side. The panel includes one or more combined power output and data signal connectors on the second side, each of the combined power output and data signal connectors configured to electrically connect to a twisted pair cable and including a plurality of twisted pairs each having first and second wire contacts. The one or more twisted pairs are configured to carry a power signal as a direct current voltage difference between the first and second wire contacts, and the remaining twisted pairs from the plurality of twisted pairs are configured to carry differential data signals. The telecommunications panel is configured to selectably allow pairs of the remaining twisted pairs from the plurality of twisted pairs to cooperate to carry a power signal.

Abstract: A third party system generates a group of users and a function that identifies users in the group as well as additional users not in the group when applied to user identifying information. The third party system transmits the function to an online system, which applies the function to user identifying information associated with various users of the online system. Applying the function to the user identifying information generates a set of users including users in the group and one or more additional users who are not in the group. The online system transmits information associated with users in the set and information identifying users in the set to the third party system, which determines obtained information associated with users of the group. In some embodiments, the information identifying users in the set is obfuscated user identifying information associated with the users in the set by the online system.
