  • Patent number: 11971399
Abstract: A resonant sensor probe assembly includes a substrate formed from one or more dielectric materials and free-standing electrodes coupled with the substrate. The free-standing electrodes are configured to be placed into the fluid and to generate an electric field between the free-standing electrodes. A controller measures an impedance response of the sensor to the fluid between the electrodes to determine an aging effect of the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20240115621
Abstract: The present application is directed to the field of implants comprising soft tissue for use in implantation in humans. The soft tissue implants of the present application are preferably obtained from xenograft sources. The present application provides a chemical process that sterilizes, removes antigens from and/or strengthens xenograft implants. The present techniques yield soft tissue implants having superior structural, mechanical, and/or biochemical integrity. The present application is also directed to processes for treating xenograft implants comprising soft tissues such as dermis, and to implants produced by such processes.

  • Patent number: 5350630
Abstract: The invention relates to repulpable securing devices for securing repulpable articles. The securing devices are preferably in the form of straps or tapes made from extruded sheets of polyvinylalcohol or rope from extruded fibers of polyvinylalcohol. The securing devices are wrapped around pulpable articles for example, bales of pulp sheets, to hold them securely bound during transit or storage. They may also be used in machine thread-up or turn-up operations or as a handle for repulpable articles. The securing devices have the combination of properties of high tensile strength and repulpability at cold and hot water repulp temperatures. The securing devices can be repulped along with repulpable bales. These devices replace conventional wire or plastic strap which must be separately removed and disposed of, for example, at landfill sites.
