  • Publication number: 20230359569
Abstract: Systems and methods for backing up a cloud-based network include a first instance of a computing resource running in a first region. A first backup service is running in the first region and configured to take a first backup of the first instance. The backup service uses a key management service of the first region to encrypt the first backup with a first cryptographic key to generate a first encrypted backup. The first encrypted backup is stored in a first backup vault of the first region. A second backup service runs in a second region and receives a copy of the first backup. A second key management service of the second region encrypts the copy of the first backup using a second cryptographic key to generate a second encrypted backup. The second encrypted backup is stored in a second backup vault of the second region.

  • Publication number: 20230359773
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices secure executables in a cloud-based environment. An example process includes receiving a first pull request to create an executable document for execution by an instance running in the cloud-based environment. The executable document is stored in a document repository in response to the first pull request and approval of the executable document. A command is generated for a system manager in the cloud-based environment to create the executable document. A second pull request is received to create a script that is executable by the document. The script is stored in a script repository in response to the second pull request and an approval of the script. The executable document runs in response to a run command from the instance running in the cloud-based environment, and the approved script stored in the script repository runs in response to a call from the executable document.

  • Publication number: 20230359453
Abstract: An automated patching system for a cloud-based network includes an instance of a network function running on cloud-based hardware. An agent retrieves a baseline and a list of installed software for the instance. A patching function is in communication with the agent and runs at a first scheduled time in response to a first maintenance window starting at the first scheduled time. The first maintenance window comprises a first target list of instances running in a first availability zone. The patching function also runs at a second scheduled time in response to a second maintenance window. The patching function polls the agent to add the instance to the first target list of the first maintenance window. A first task launched by the patching function runs a patching executable that applies a patch to the instance in response to the patch missing from the list of installed software.

End caps close off ends of the vessel. An inlet and an outlet are configured within one of the end caps to feed starting gas into the center column or perimeter manifold, and to draw off product gas from the perimeter manifold or center column. An end cap can be removed to provide access for media loading between the center column and the perimeter manifold. Media is preferably provided within cartridges which can slide into this media space. Cartridges can be concentric with one cartridge inboard of the other, or can be stacked vertically.
