  • Publication number: 20090319187
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for presenting users with web advertisements that are dynamically adjusted based upon a geographic location determined within the content of the web page that the web advertisement will appear. An analysis module determines a geographic location from the content of a web page. The analysis module determines coordinates associated with the geographic location. An advertisement search module determines geographic specific advertisements based on the coordinates. An advertisement generation module generates a geocoded targeted web advertisement based at least in part on geographic specific advertisements.

  • Patent number: 6221198
Abstract: Environmental stabilizing agents are stored in an adhesive adjoining, directly or indirectly, a film or membrane that requires protection from the environment. Such stabilizing agents include ultra-violet protectors and anti-oxidants. Migration of such environmental stabilizing agents from an adhesive to a film or membrane permits the use of new and different materials for such films and membranes because their method of manufacture no longer needs to accommodate the heat and processing sensitivities of the stabilizing agents.

  • Patent number: 5685142
Abstract: An afterburner 20 for a gas turbine engine 10 has a fuel spray ring 24a for injecting fuel into the afterburner, a flameholder gutter 34a for stabilizing combustion of a fuel-air mixture flowing through the afterburner, and an ignitor 35 for initiating combustion and includes an enclosure 50 attached to the gutter. The enclosure has radially inner and outer walls 52, 54 and circumferentially spaced apart webs 60, 62 extending between the walls to define a radially and circumferentially bounded chamber 64. Each web has a forward opening 72 and an aft opening 74 so that a portion of the spray ring and a portion of the gutter are embraced by the enclosure. The enclosure is ideally circumferentially aligned with the ignitor and regulates the fuel-air ratio within and in the vicinity of the chamber to ensure reliable lighting of the afterburner and flawless advancement to full afterburning operation.

  • Patent number: 5683034
Abstract: A divergent flap seal for a gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle having a longitudinal axis is provided, having a body, a spine member, and a flap position guide. The flap position guide separates adjacent divergent flaps regardless of the angle the flaps are skewed relative to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, thereby more evenly distributing the flaps about the circumference of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5667140
Abstract: A seal for a gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle is provided, comprising a body, a spine member attached to one side of the body, and a plurality of face segments attached to the side of the body opposite that to which the spine member is attached. The body includes a length and a width, a plurality of corrugations formed in the body extending across the width, and a first and a second channel. One of the channels is positioned on one side of the body width and the other channel is positioned on the other side of the body width. Each face segment includes a first end and a second end. The ends of the face segments are freely received within the first and second channels such that the ends may translate within the channels.

  • Patent number: 5201887
Abstract: Damping of the leading edge of a cantilevered mounted liner for the augmentor of a gas turbine engine is obtained by incorporating a generally annular shaped member having a U-shaped cross section and encapsulating the leading edge of the liner in the U-shaped portion of the annular member. A split ring may be included in the U-shaped portion to augment the damping function.
