Publication number: 20240278245Abstract: The assembly includes a docking console and a manifold. The docking console includes a cartridge support surface having a first end and a second end. The manifold has one or more wells defined therein. The docking console further includes a manifold retention bracket to releasably hold the manifold against a fluid cartridge supported on the cartridge support surface at an interface position such that the one or more wells are in fluid communication with the fluid cartridge and a biased seal bar to press the fluid cartridge against the manifold held by the manifold retention bracket. A hydrophilic porous frit disposed within at least one of the wells and is to permit liquid to flow through the outlet aperture but prevent gas from passing through the outlet aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2024Publication date: August 22, 2024Applicants: Illumina, Inc., Illumina Cambridge LimitedInventors: Bradley Kent DREWS, Gudrun STENGEL, James Christopher BLAKE, Mohammed Kafeel AHAMED, Michael Steven BECKER, Michael Dangelo, Mark J. Publication number: 20210145475Abstract: A cannula supporting a percutaneous pump can include a proximal section with a first flexural modulus. The cannula can include one or more distal sections with a flexural modulus that is different than the first flexural modulus. The material and its arrangement along the length of the cannula can be selected so as to influence bending properties. This can, for example, allow efficient positioning of the cannula in a desired location without displacing the guidewire.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2020Publication date: May 20, 2021Inventors: Zhenghong Tao, Christopher Zarins, Dion Mraz, Stephen Vaughan, Julius Steven Becker

Publication number: 20070090636Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to providing a vibration dampening system for an overhead frame structure used with a vehicle. The system involves the provision of one or more dampening members and/or components between portions of one or more members forming the overhead frame structure. The dampening members or components are compressed when certain portions of the members are set in position. As a result, the vibration and contact normally encountered between the portions and/or interconnecting brackets is limited, and in turn, the stress normally experienced by the one or more fastener assemblies holding the portions and/or the interconnecting brackets due to such vibration is also limited.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2005Publication date: April 26, 2007Inventor: Steven Becker

Publication number: 20020019749Abstract: An electronic system facilitates the clinician-patient encounter and serves as a single point of integration for all electronic health care information systems. A physician selects a diagnosis, which is converted from the physician's preferred terminology to a standard ICD diagnosis. The system then proposes a preferred treatment appropriate to the selected diagnosis. The physician can change any items of the proposed treatment plan, with changes being checked against payor rules, prior patient information and selected authorities' guidelines. If a diagnosis or treatment element is not authorized by the payor for the selected diagnosis, the system notifies the physician, allowing changes or offering electronic request for payor authorization. Additionally, the system may indicate those diagnoses for which payor allows said elements, allowing the physician to choose a diagnosis that is consistent with the patient's symptoms and supports the desired treatment.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2001Publication date: February 14, 2002Inventors: Steven Becker, Frank Bowlin
