  • Publication number: 20260116434
Abstract: A finished vehicle logistics autonomy (FVLA) system located outside of a finished vehicle may generate driving instructions for controlling the finished vehicle to traverse a transportation network of a controlled roadway region. The FVLA system may transmit a control signal indicative of the driving instructions to an In-Vehicle Controller Unit (ICU). The ICU may include at least one sensor and be configured to receive the control signal from the FVLA system. The ICU may determine the driving instructions based on the control signal and control the finished vehicle to traverse the controlled roadway.

  • Publication number: 20240319236
Abstract: A sauna having various heating, lighting, or other electrically operated elements is equipped with galvanically isolated current detection circuitry and galvanically isolated voltage detection circuitry, each in communication with a processor. The processor is operable to monitor, store and analyze voltage and current data to detect latent malfunctions and to predict and prevent future malfunctions, and to provide reports to users or operators. In various embodiments the processor may alert users to malfunctions or potential problems and may further actuate circuitry to cut power to the sauna upon detection of a malfunction.

  • Patent number: 10027893
Abstract: Real-time video stabilization for mobile devices based on on-board motion sensing. In accordance with a method embodiment of the present invention, a first image frame from a camera at a first time is accessed. A second image frame from the camera at a subsequent time is accessed. A crop polygon around scene content common to the first image frame and the second image frame is identified. Movement information describing movement of the camera in an interval between the first time and the second time is accessed. The crop polygon is warped to remove motion distortions of the second image frame is warped using the movement information. The warping may include defining a virtual camera that remains static when the movement of the camera is below a movement threshold. The movement information may describe the movement of the camera at each scan line of the second image frame.

  • Patent number: 8960381
Abstract: A system and method are provided for mounting, removing and retaining brake pads in disc brakes, such as air-operated disc brakes utilized on commercial vehicles, in a manner which does not require the use of separate brake pad retaining devices while providing positive retention of the brake pad. A preferred embodiment includes a brake caliper mount having brake pad abutment surfaces having radially-oriented and lateral grooves which permit a brake pad with corresponding projections on is lateral sides to be inserted through an opening of the brake caliper into the radially-oriented grooves until the backing plate projections are aligned with the lateral groove, and advancing the brake actuator behind the brake pad to place the brake pad in an operating position in which the actuator prevents the brake pad from realigning with the radially-oriented grooves until the actuator is retracted to permit brake pad extraction.

  • Publication number: 20060051187
Abstract: A system for controlling stocked items to be picked in a warehouse. The system has a first support assembly upon which a plurality of items can be stored in a predetermined array, including a plurality of rows, and from which stored items can be picked from a first location. The first support assembly has at least (a) a first state with no item upon the first support assembly, (b) a second state with at least one item in at least one of the rows and no items in another of the rows and (c) a third state with at least one item in each of the plurality of rows. The system includes a repositioning assembly that is operable to cause an item upon the first support assembly to be shifted from a first position in a first row to a second position in a second row. An item upon the first support assembly is situated to be more accessible to an operator for picking from the first location with the item in the second position than with the item in the first position.

  • Patent number: 6882946
Abstract: A measuring apparatus includes a spectrum analysis unit having an input for receiving an input signal to be measured. The input signal includes a carrier signal located within a predetermined band of frequencies and the spectrum analysis unit is arranged to store a set of user definable parameters including the location of the carrier signal within the predetermined band of frequencies, and to use the set of user definable parameters to measure a quantity associated with the carrier signal.

  • Publication number: 20030191595
Abstract: Known spectrum analysers can perform Multi-Carrier Power (MCP) measurements in respect of input signals having one or two carrier signals. However, in order to perform the MCP measurement, the power of each carrier signal has to be measured separately, resulting in a cumbersome measuring process prone to errors where more than two carrier signals are to be measured. The present invention overcomes these problems by permitting a user of a spectrum analyser to configure each potential location for a carrier frequency, thereby enabling the spectrum analyser to perform the MCP measurement in respect of each carrier signal present in the input signal. A more efficient and accurate measurement can therefore be achieved when measuring more than two carrier signals.

  • Patent number: 5620638
Abstract: Ceramics resulting from the oxide system barium oxide-rare earth oxide-titanium oxide have been found to exhibit an isotropy with respect to electrical properties such as the temperature coefficient of frequency at the first resonant frequency, dielectric constant, and, to some extent, the loss factor, Q. Such anisotropy effects reproducibility in fabricating ceramic articles for use in the microwave region and in the performance of these articles. Isotropic ceramics from the same ternary oxide system can be made by compacting non-nucleated powders followed by the usual sintering of the green compact. Anisotropic bulk ceramic workpieces can be machined to reproducibiy afford ceramic articles with the appropriate value of the electrical property in question by measuring the components of the electrical property along the three principal axes of the workpiece, and then determining the angles between the principal axes necessary to give a resultant having the preselected value.

  • Patent number: 5553345
Abstract: A clip-on towel is disclosed for use in sports and other activities where a readily accessible towel is advantageous. A first embodiment of the clip-on towel includes a clip portion that fits through an aperture in a towel portion and is adapted to engage the waistband of a user. The clip portion is attached to the towel by way of a restricted aperture thus eliminating the need for employing fasteners to attach the clip to the towel. A second embodiment includes a clip that is sewn to the towel and features a break away finger portion. If excessive force is applied to the clip, the towel breaks away from the user. The clip can be reassembled after breaking away inasmuch as it is designed to non-destructively separate.
