Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a network element having a controller to obtain network information associated with establishing a network among a group of communication devices, and provide the network information to a plurality of network set-up devices removably connected to the network element, where each of the plurality of network set-up devices is connectable with a communication device of the group of communication devices to provide at least a portion of the network information to the communication device, and where the network is established based at least in part on the at least a portion of the network information. Abstract: The method of capturing a digital image for viewing from a stream of digital images on a touch display of a digital imaging device includes accessing a stream of digital images comprised of a plurality of individual digital images, selecting an individual image from the stream of digital images by touching the touch display, and automatically saving the selected individual image to a storage device. The method of orienting a digital image for viewing on a touch display of a digital imaging device includes accessing the digital image, the digital image being defined by a plurality of sides, displaying the digital image in a first orientation on the touch display with four corners of the digital imaging device, the display, providing selection means for select at least one of the corners; and automatically displaying the digital image in a second orientation responsive to the selecting of one of the corners.

Abstract: Display devices and methods for operating a display device are provided. A display device has a source of an original image and a display. A user input system is adapted to generate a non-directional signal in response to a user input action. A controller is provided and is adapted to detect the non-directional signal and to successively designate a different one of a set of portions of the original image in response to each non-directional signal. The controller is further adapted to cause the display to present a portion evaluation image showing the currently designated portion of the original image and to determine and area of importance in the original image based upon the currently designated portion. At least one of the portions of the set of portions of the original image is non-central with respect to the original image.

Abstract: A device, system, method and software product for storing, maintaining, sharing and displaying of digital images in a common designated collection on at least one portable storage and display device. The device has a first memory section designated for storing images that are obtained by the digital device and a second memory section for storing digital images of the designated collection. The second memory section has a protected mode that prevents the digital images in the second memory section from being deleted or overwritten until the user of the digital display and storage device disables the protected mode. When the protected mode of the second section is disabled then the device will overwrite the digital images of the second memory section with the newly captured digital images.

Abstract: A system and method for managing photo releases which includes a digital image capture device a device for display at least a representative image of a captured original image and for displaying a photo release associated with the at least one individual with respect to the captured digital image. The display device provided for the obtaining of an authorization signature by the at least one individual with respect to the original captured digital image; and for associating the authorization signature as metadata with respect to the original image.
