  • Patent number: 11952293
Abstract: There is described an apparatus for disinfecting a fluid, such as water. The apparatus includes a housing having a fluid inlet for inflow of a fluid to be disinfected, and a fluid outlet for outflow of the fluid to be disinfected. The apparatus further includes one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs) operable to emit ultraviolet (UV) light for disinfecting the fluid to be disinfected. A fluid flow path extends from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet. The fluid flow path is configured such that, when the fluid to be disinfected flows along the fluid flow path, the fluid to be disinfected flows sufficiently close to the one or more LEDs so as to absorb heat generated by the one or more LEDs.

  • Publication number: 20190315488
Abstract: There are described methods and systems for supplying water to an aircraft. A water supply assembly is fluidly coupled to a water storage tank via a supply line. An overflow line is fluidly coupled to the water supply assembly. One or more sensors are configured to determine an amount of water in the water storage tank. One or more processors are communicative with the one or more sensors and configured to: determine a desired amount of water to be contained in the water storage tank; determine from the one or more sensors that an amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water; and, in response to determining that the amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water, transmit an instruction for causing water being supplied from the water supply assembly to the water storage tank to be diverted to the overflow line.

  • Publication number: 20110258961
Abstract: A wall panel structure which is easily assembled and disassembled and is constructed from a plurality of frame assemblies, each frame assembly comprising a first frame component having a first wall and an adjacent second wall, the first wall having an externally accessible abutment surface; and a second frame component having an angled cross section defined by first and second arms, the first arm having an inwardly extending flange configured to engage said abutment surface of the first frame component, and the second arm configured to engage the second wall of the first frame component.

  • Patent number: 5235985
Abstract: The automatic bladder scanning apparatus includes a transducer assembly (30), which includes a plurality of individual transducer elements (32). A first plurality of transducer elements are connected into an approximately circular or octagonal arrangement to produce a transmitted signal beam. The data transmission signal is pseudo-random. The returning echo signal is received by another plurality of transducer elements arranged in a preselected pattern. One receiving pattern includes two orthogonal sets of linear arrays, while the other receiving pattern involves an octagonal arrangement. The received signals from the second plurality of transducer elements are processed to form a composite received signal. The composite received signal is then further processed to produce information concerning the three dimension image of the bladder, which information is then used to calculate the bladder volume.
