The polymeric film is one of oriented polyester film, oriented polylactic acid film, polyester, polylactic acid, ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer and polyvinyl alcohol copolymer, and the total composition of the paper-based packaging film includes a fiber content greater than 80%, by weight.
