  • Patent number: 11629005
Abstract: The invention is a system for positioning and removably securing an intermodal container to an intermodal pallet. The system permits the container's longitudinal centerline to be offset from the longitudinal centerline of the pallet, while still providing sufficient support to the container. The invention is a removable system of adapters for positioning and securing a container to the surface of the pallet, and when the adapters are in place, define longitudinal and lateral boundaries for engagement with an intermodal container. A plurality of strap brace assemblies positioned on one side of the pallet to provide an offset anchor position for a plurality of flexible straps, which secure the container when it is positioned on the pallet.

  • Patent number: 10704402
Abstract: A gas turbine engine having a combustor, turbine and transition duct to channel hot gas from combustor to turbine. The transition duct has an internal surface on which the hot gas impinges causing a varying temperature profile. A thermal barrier coating is located on the internal surface having a first and second thermal barrier coating patch. The first patch having a first thickness located on the internal surface and within a first area subject to a higher temperature than an uncoated part and bounded by a first isotherm of a first temperature. The second patch having a second thickness located on the internal surface and within a second area subject to a higher temperature than the uncoated part and bounded by a second isotherm of a second temperature. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature and the second thickness is thicker than the first thickness.

  • Patent number: 9238551
Abstract: A ball transfer unit for use in association with installed trays in vehicle cargo bays. Ball transfer unit is a modular unit that includes a larger main roller ball, a semi-spherical housing for holding the larger main roller ball, a plurality of smaller roller balls interposed between the housing and the main roller ball and a unitary cover affixed to the housing for securing the various ball elements in relation to the housing and cover. The large roller ball protrudes partially through the cover, and the cover is designed to discourage the ingress of water and contaminants from entering the housing.

  • Patent number: 6603741
Abstract: The invention concerns the establishment of the rate of transmission of data between two network stations by means of auto-negotiation. The execution of an auto-negotiation sequence by a state machine is counted and if the number of executions of the sequence exceeds a threshold, the auto-negotiation sequence is modified to establish a data rate lower than a previously negotiated rate. A particular example is described for use in accordance with IEEE standard 802.3. In a specific example, monitoring of the execution of the auto-negotiation sequence comprises counting the occurrences of a ‘page received’ bit in an auto-negotiation expansion register.

  • Patent number: 6330245
Abstract: A data network hub unit is stackable with other such units to constitute a hub in which each of the units can supply data packets to network data destinations and receive data packets from network data sources, and to form a closed data transmission ring which enables packets received at any unit to be transmitted from any other unit. The hub unit includes arbitration control means responsive to packet headers circulating on said ring.
