  • Patent number: 11966605
Abstract: Various implementations described herein relate to systems and methods for managing superblocks, including a non-volatile storage including a superblock and a controller configured to notify a host of a size of the superblock to a host, determine a stream that aligns with the superblock, write data corresponding to the stream to the superblock, and determine that writing the data correspond to the stream has completed.

  • Patent number: 11929184
Abstract: A method of controlling a plasma in a nuclear fusion reactor. The nuclear fusion reactor comprises sensors and plasma control inputs. An initial control model is provided, relating readings of at least a subset of the sensors to control of the plasma control inputs. A control loop is performed, comprising: operating the plasma control inputs in dependence upon the sensors according to the control model; determining correlations between readings of each of the sensors, and/or between readings of the sensors and states of the plasma control inputs; and adjusting the control model based on the determined correlations.

  • Publication number: 20240077277
Abstract: A line launcher includes a launcher body extending along a longitudinal axis between a rear end and a front end. The line launcher further includes a handle, a trigger, and a removable battery. The line launcher further includes a compressed gas charge assembly. The line launcher further includes an elongated barrel coupled to the body at the front end. The line launcher further includes a throwline assembly, the throwline assembly including a projectile and a throwline, the projectile insertable into and ejectable from the elongated barrel.

  • Patent number: 11914898
Abstract: Various implementations described herein relate to creating a namespace in response to determining that a sum of namespace sizes of a plurality of namespaces is less than a first threshold for the point of thin-provisioning. A write command and data are received from a host. The write command and the data are received in response to determining that a sum of namespace utilization of the plurality of namespaces is less than a second threshold. The data is compressed and stored in the created namespace.

  • Publication number: 20130036135
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for efficiently storing information. For example, lower-quality copies of files can be stored locally, and higher-quality, original versions of files can be stored on the Internet. Storing a lower-quality or lower-resolution version of a file locally can reduce local storage requirements. The higher-quality, or higher resolution, original version of a file can be retrieved from the cloud if the locally stored version is not of sufficient quality for a particular use. However, the lower-quality copy may be of sufficient quality for most usages.

  • Publication number: 20050132201
Abstract: Electronic signature functions, such as electronically signing an electronic record, verification of an electronic signature and issuance of keys, may be performed by a server or other central computer. For electronic signing, the server may access a key on a protected database and encryption programs to electronically sign an electronic record. For signature verification, the server may receive the electronic record and electronic signature, determine a key to decrypt the electronic signature, and then determine whether the electronic signature is valid. For issuance of keys, the server may receive a user request to generate keys, may generate the keys, and store the keys in a database which is accessible by the server, but which may not be accessible by the user.
