  • Publication number: 20080022484
Abstract: A hand held device for cleaning surfaces and driving fasteners is disclosed. The device can include a housing, a drive disposed within the housing, a dusting brush coupled to the drive, and a conduit extending from a first end of the housing along the dusting brush. The conduit can have an inlet disposed generally in line with the brush. A reduction drive arrangement can be provided for reductively coupling the drive motor to the dusting brush. The housing can have a generally planar surface extending from the housing and in frictional contact with the dusting brush. The conduit can be coupled to a source of vacuum to draw dust from the brush. Also described is a kit for driving fasteners and cleaning surfaces comprising a drive unit and one or more driven implements. One or more implements may include a scrubbing surface, a backing plate which supports the scrubbing surface, a hexagonal shaft interface for coupling the backing plate to the drive unit.

  • Publication number: 20060103222
Abstract: A seating structure includes a plurality of boss structures arranged in a pattern and a plurality of web structures joining adjacent boss structures within the pattern. At least some of the web structures are spaced apart such that they define openings therebetween. Adjacent rows of said web structures are spaced or staggered.

  • Publication number: 20050017557
Abstract: A tiltable chair including a housing, a back support pivotally attached to the housing about a first horizontal axis and a seat support pivotally attached to the housing about a second horizontal axis. A leaf spring includes a first end engaging the housing and a second end biasing the back support and seat support in an upward direction. A fulcrum member is moveably supported in the housing and engages a bottom surface of the spring intermediate the first and second ends of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20050001464
Abstract: A seating structure includes a plurality of boss structures arranged in a pattern and a plurality of web structures joining adjacent boss structures within the pattern. At least some of the web structures are non-planar and at least some adjacent web structures are spaced apart such that they define openings therebetween. In another aspect, the seating structure includes a plurality of boss structures arranged in a pattern and defining a support surface and a plurality of web structures joining adjacent boss structures within the pattern. At least some adjacent web structures are spaced apart and shaped such that they define substantially non-circular openings therebetween when viewed in a direction substantially perpendicular to the support surface.

  • Patent number: 5957869
Abstract: An improved apparatus and method are provided for force and distance indication readings on the prior art MEDmetrics KT 1000.TM. which eliminate the need for an observer to vigilantly scrutinize the analog distance indicator and which indicate the force used to produce a given distance of travel, with both the force and distance having maximum-read indicators. In addition, a removable receptacle is provided for adapting the prior art KT 1000.TM. for use in measuring ankle joint laxity. A method of reliably and accurately measuring ankle joint laxity is provided using the improved KT 1000.TM. device of the present invention.
