Abstract: A child seat adapted for use in a vehicle, the child seat comprising: a base portion; a carrier portion configured to be removably secured to the base portion; a restraint system component; a sensor for providing a signal indicative of a state of the restraint system component; an electronic control unit secured to either the carrier portion or the base portion, the electronic control unit being operably coupled to the restraint system component to receive the signal, the electronic control unit being capable of processing the signal to provide an output indicative of the state of the restraint system component; and an electrical connector for providing electrical connection between the sensor and the electronic control unit.

Abstract: Provided is a compact, low-cost, lightweight, man-packable weapon system for engaging static and slowly maneuvering targets. In one embodiment, it may incorporate in its own backpack a compact launcher and multiple compact missiles, each weighing less than five pounds, for carry on a soldier's back. The missile itself uses a strapped-down acquisition and tracking sensor electrically connected to a simplified guidance system interfaced with an aero-control section capable of altering the flight path of the missile to a target. A solid-propellant rocket motor provides sufficient power to propel the missile at a predetermined limited speed and over a pre-determined limited distance that enables the proper operation of the simplified guidance system. A method for deploying a man-packable weapon system is disclosed also.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly has a pair of mating connector housings carrying mating metal terminals, a double ended shorting clip carried by one of the housings and having both ends thereof in spring biased engagement with its associated metal terminals in that housing and a connector position assurance member. The shorting clip first has one end automatically disengaged from its associated metal terminals by a first cam when the connector housings are mated together and then its other end automatically disengaged from its associated terminals by a second cam on the connector position assurance member when connected to the mated housings so that a shorting path across the associated metal terminals is only fully disconnected if proper mating of the connector housings is assured.
