  • Patent number: 11977412
Abstract: A variety of improvements to docking systems for portable computing devices are disclosed. For example, improved techniques for maintaining a data connection between a base portion of the docking system and a case portion of the docking system are disclosed. As an example, the docking system can include improved magnetics that help maintain the data connection between the base portion and the case portion, even during rotational movements of the case portion relative to the base portion. Further still, examples are described where the detection of a docking action between the case portion and the base portion can trigger any of a number of responsive actions.

  • Publication number: 20240068135
Abstract: Interlacing equipment may be used to form fabric and to create a gap in the fabric. The fabric may include one or more conductive strands. An insertion tool may be used to align an electrical component with the conductive strands during interlacing operations. A soldering tool may be used to remove insulation from the conductive strands to expose conductive segments on the conductive strands. The soldering tool may be used to solder the conductive segments to the electrical component. The solder connections may be located in grooves in the electrical component. An encapsulation tool may dispense encapsulation material in the grooves to encapsulate the solder connections. After the electrical component is electrically connected to the conductive strands, the insertion tool may position and release the electrical component in the gap. A component retention tool may temporarily be used to retain the electrical component in the gap as interlacing operations continue.

  • Patent number: 6827540
Abstract: A power bridge rollout service system for removing and installing a power bridge, the power bridge having a housing with an external bus assembly. The power bridge rollout service system includes a roller assembly, an enclosure assembly, and a dolly assembly. The roller assembly is structured to support the power bridge and has a plurality of wheels. The enclosure assembly has a frame assembly structured to support the power bridge and has two wheel tracks. The dolly assembly has a frame assembly, a vertical lifting device, and a plurality of wheels. The vertical lifting device and wheels are coupled to the dolly frame assembly. The vertical lifting device acts upon a work platform such as a skid table assembly. The skid table assembly has a generally flat lifting plate. The skid table assembly may be raised so that the lifting plate is at the same general height as the frame assembly wheel tracks.

  • Patent number: 6062620
Abstract: An apparatus for latching to any selected one of a family of electrical switching apparatuses having differently located centers of gravity includes a lifting bracket having a plurality of lifting attachment points whereby a crane or other hoisting device may be attached thereto. The lifting bracket with lifting attachment points enables the selected electrical switching apparatus to be lifted while being maintained generally level without excess tilting thereof. The apparatus also includes first and second latches movably connected to opposing ends of the apparatus for securely latching to the electrical switching apparatus being lifted. The lifting bracket of the apparatus also includes a locking flange for engaging the electrical switching apparatus during lifting and securely locking the first and second latches to the electrical switching apparatus.
