  • Patent number: 11982746
Abstract: A system and method for maintaining a laser impinging on a laser detector assembly includes determining a location of the laser from a rotating laser transmitter impinging on a laser sensor. A current position of the laser sensor along a mast of the laser detector assembly is determined and a new position for the laser sensor along the mast is determined based on the location of the laser impinging on the laser sensor and a current position of the laser sensor. The laser sensor is then moved to the new position. The system and method provide an effectively long working range of the laser detector assembly by moving the laser sensor along the mast of the laser detector assembly. An inertial measurement unit is used to calculate position information in the period between laser strikes.

  • Publication number: 20240117230
Abstract: Adhesives comprising a silyl-terminated polyether and a tackifying resin provide a considerably reduced tack at relatively slight increases in temperature, undergo purely adhesive failure at such increased temperatures, and have reversible properties (i.e., such properties are substantially retained upon cooling). Such adhesives may be used to reversibly bond a first substrate surface coated with the adhesive to a second substrate surface by adhering the substrate surfaces together at a first temperature; heating the adhesive to a second temperature at least about 20° C. above the first temperature and below the thermal degradation temperature; and separating the substrate surfaces from one another at the second temperature, wherein the adhesive comprises the cured product of a silyl-terminated polyether and a tackifier. Such adhesives may also be cleanly transferred from to a different substrate at such elevated temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20240028241
Abstract: There is provided a data processing apparatus in which decode circuitry receives a memory copy instruction containing an indication of a source area of memory, an indication of a destination area of memory, and an indication of a remaining copy length. In response to receiving the memory copy instruction, the decode circuitry generates at least one active memory copy operation or a null memory copy operation. The active memory copy operation causes one or more execution units to perform a memory copy from part of the source area of memory to part of the destination area of memory and the null memory copy operation leaves the destination area of memory unmodified.
