Abstract: A method of skin anomaly assessment, measurement, and monitoring is disclosed. The three-dimensional topology of a skin anomaly is digitally scanned, and a three-dimensional model of the skin anomaly is computationally constructed. From the three-dimensional model, length, width, depth, perimeter, and surface area measurements of the skin anomaly are derived. This information may be quantified by volume surface area, and/or distance along the surface of the anomaly, and measured against models of anticipated healing for medical monitoring and training.

Abstract: Innovative peripheral bar assembly for a transportation vehicle is provided. The assembly includes a front bar housing with a front segment and a rear segment; a rear bar housing with a front segment coupled to the rear segment of the front bar housing; and an input/output (I/O) printed circuit board (“PCB”) having an I/O connector. The I/O PCB coupled to the rear segment of the front bar housing. The assembly is coupled to a chassis of a display system having a display module, and the I/O connector is coupled to a connector of the display module for enabling an electrical connection between the peripheral bar assembly and the display module.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for the reduction of environmental pollution produced in material handling operations, especially but not exclusive in the transfer of material between two conveyor belts, one of material input and one of output of said material, are disclosed here. The pollution reduction mechanism is based on the reduction of the distance in free fall that the material travels from the material input conveyor belt, by means of maintaining live load of material inside the chute. To achieve this objective, the method considers: measuring the weight of the chute with material; the measurement of one of the two flows; the calculation of the rapidity of change of the weight of the chute; and the regulation of the mass flow of input to the chute or the regulation of the mass flow of output from the chute.

Abstract: A CMOS technology-compatible fabrication process for flexible CMOS electronics embedded during additive manufacturing (i.e. 3D printing). A method for such a process may include printing a first portion of a 3D structure; pausing the step of printing the 3D structure to embed the flexible silicon substrate; placing the flexible silicon substrate in a cavity of the first portion of the 3D structure to embed the flexible silicon substrate in the 3D structure; and resuming the step of printing the 3D structure to form the second portion of the 3D structure.

Abstract: Electronic stickers may be manufactured on flexible substrates as layers and packaged together. The package may then have an adhesive applied to one side to provide capability for sticking the electronic devices to surfaces. The stickers can be wrappable, placed on surfaces, glued on walls or mirrors or wood or stone, and have electronics which may or may not be ultrathin. Packaging for the electronic sticker can use polymer on cellulose manufacturing and/or three dimensional (3-D) printing. The electronic stickers may provide lighting capability, sensing capability, and/or recharging capabilities.
