Abstract: The present invention concerns the use of aprotic polar solvents, water, and an ionization stabilizing agent to prepare stable therapeutic formulations, particularly sustained release formulations, of a variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), such as, e.g., levothyroxine. In particular, the invention concerns the use of aprotic polar solvents and at least one ionization stabilizing agent to prepare stable therapeutic formulations of a variety of APIs by dissolving at least one API in an aprotic polar solvent system to produce a stable sustained release therapeutic formulation useful in treating, preventing and/or diagnosing diseases or physical disorders in humans and veterinary animals. The invention also provides methods of manufacturing such formulations.

Abstract: The present invention concerns the use of aprotic polar solvents and an ionization stabilizing agent to prepare stable therapeutic formulations of levothyroxine by dissolving levothyroxine in an aprotic polar solvent system that can then be used to treat, prevent, and/or diagnose certain diseases and disorders in humans and veterinary animals by administration of the formulation thereto. In certain embodiments, the invention is directed to formulations comprising levothyroxine, and optionally one or more additional therapeutic agents, dissolved in an aprotic polar solvent system, such as a DMSO/water admixture comprising at least one ionization stabilizing excipient in a concentration sufficient to impart physical and chemical stability to the therapeutic agent. Abstract: A system for treating plant material uses a vessel capable of being brought to a vacuum and/or pressurized and maintained at a relatively low temperature. Plant material is placed within the vessel and the vessel draws a vacuum or is pressurized. A control system may monitor and control the creation of a vacuum, flow rate of a gas from a gas tank into the vessel, the temperature in the vessel, the flow rate of gas out of the vessel, and the pressure of the vessel.

At least a portion of the lower portion of the candle vessel is displaceable relative to the upper portion to allow a meltable solid to be easily removed from the candle vessel. The lower portion may include a flexible, non-adhesive, and heat-resistant interior part which lines the lower portion that is in contact with the meltable solid. An exterior of the vessel may be wrapped in a sturdy, durable shell for additional design and structure of the candle vessel.

The contact data defines an accessibility of the contact to the one or more media types. The method may include determining an accessibility level for reaching the contact using the one or more media types based on the contact data. The accessibility level may be a probability of reaching the contact using the one or more media types. The contact list may be adjusted based on the determined accessibility level.

Abstract: A method and system for providing intelligent network control services in IP telephony, wherein the system includes a location manager and an IP telephony proxy server. The location manager includes an interface to a legacy telephony service control entity and the IP telephony proxy server includes an IP interface to the location manager. If the IP telephony proxy server requires intelligent network services, then the IP telephony proxy server sends an IP telephony session initiation request to the called party at the location manager. The location manager uses the information to query the legacy telephony service control entity for routing information. When the location manager receives a routing response from the service control entity, the location manager maps the response to an IP telephony session control message back to the IP telephony proxy server.

Abstract: A system and method for maintaining resiliency of subscriptions to an event server includes receiving a subscription request to establish a subscription to receive event state information of an event source, a primary event server providing the event state information. The event state information is received from the primary event server in accordance with the subscription request. The primary event server provides the event state information to an event consumer. It is determined whether the primary event server fails during the subscription.

Abstract: Gathering location information from a first wireless network to determine whether to anchor a communication session in a second wireless network, a mobile node capable of communicating with both the first wireless network and the second wireless network, includes receiving location information from the first wireless network as the mobile node moves through one or more service areas of the first wireless network. It is determined whether a triggering event occurs. If the triggering event occurs, the location information is stored to determine whether to anchor a session in the second wireless network.

Abstract: Anchoring a communication session for a target mobile phone includes identifying a current access node operable to provide the target mobile phone access to a first network of a first network type. Potential access nodes operable to provide a mobile phone access to a second network of a second network type are identified. Whether the communication session can be handed off to a potential access node of the one or more potential access nodes is established. Anchoring of the communication session is initiated in the second network only if the communication session can be handed off to a potential access node of the one or more potential access nodes.

Abstract: A system and method for applying a communication feature extension includes facilitating an exchange of requests between an originating endpoint and a terminating endpoint using a first identifier associated with the originating endpoint and a second identifier associated with the terminating endpoint. A modified request is received during the exchange. The modified request includes a new identifier representing a selected one of a modified first identifier and a modified second identifier, and an extension providing information about handling the modified request. The extension included in the modified request is determined and applied.

Abstract: A system and method for handling network overload includes receiving one or more requests, wherein an originating client originates the one or more requests. It is determined if a network element processing the one or more requests is overloaded. If the network element is overloaded, a pushback message is generated. The pushback message is sent with request gapping information to a previous hop in a network, wherein the previous hop is one or more network elements operable to route the one or more network requests to the network element processing the one or more requests.

Abstract: A system and method for handling network overload includes receiving one or more requests, wherein an originating client originates the one or more requests. It is determined if a network element handling the one or more requests is overloaded. If the network element is overloaded, a pushback message associated with a specific request of the one or more requests is generated. The pushback message is sent to the originating client.

Abstract: A method for signaling an Integrated Messaging System (IMS) on an Internet Protocol (IP) based network to deposit a message, including the steps of sending a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) SIP INVITE request to the IMS indicating a message deposit action; receiving a corresponding SIP message from the IMS agreeing to participate in the message deposit action; and sending an SIP acknowledge message to the IMS confirming receipt of the corresponding SIP message; and depositing the message in a destination mailbox. A method of signaling an IMS on an IP based network to retrieve a deposited message, the method including the steps of sending a SIP INVITE request to the IMS indicating a message retrieval action; receiving a corresponding SIP message from the IMS agreeing to participate in the message retrieval action; sending an SIP acknowledge message to the IMS confirming receipt of the corresponding SIP message; and retrieving the deposited message from a mailbox corresponding to known account information.

Abstract: A method and system for providing quality of service in an IP telephony session between a calling party and a called party establishes a high quality of service ATM virtual circuit for the session between first and second devices, each of the devices having ATM capability and IP capability. The first and second devices provide bidirectional translation between IP media and ATM media. The system transports IP media for the session between the calling party and the first device, and between said called party and a second device. The virtual circuit transports ATM media for the session between the first and second devices. An intelligent control layer provides IP and ATM signaling to set up the session.

Abstract: A lockbolt which includes a head portion and a shaft which extends from the head portion. The shaft includes at least a portion which is threaded and has a multi-lobular profile. A collar is swageable onto the multi-lobular threaded portion, and thereafter the lobes provide that the collar does not tend to vibrate loose from the threading. The fact that the section which has a multi-lobular profile is also threaded provides that the collar (or a conventional threaded nut) can be selectively rotatably removed and re-installed on the lockbolt. Before swaging, the collar may initially include a cylindrical bore, or a bore which is multi-faceted, preferably generally corresponding to the profile of the multi-lobular portion of the lockbolt. The lockbolt may or may not include a frangible pintail.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing inter-domain event services includes receiving a first subscription request to receive an event state of an event source. A view associated with the first subscription request is determined. A notify message is sent that reflects a first defined view into the event state of the event source that corresponds to the first subscription request. A second subscription request is received to receive the event state of the event source. A view associated with the second subscription request is determined. It is determined if the first defined view corresponds to the second subscription request.

Abstract: A method for combining Internet protocols in a Differentiated Services model environment is described. The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Common Open Policy Service (COPS) are combined together to provide methods of setting up a session and tearing down a session, while maintaining Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) policies. The Open Settlement Policy (OSP) is also combined with SIP and COPS.
