Abstract: An insulating assembly for electrically insulating equipment and a method of manufacturing the same are provided herein. The insulating assembly is an insulating blanket having a first material having a defined shape with an inner region, an outer region, and an outer perimeter. The first material defines a plurality of slots having at least two edges extending inward from the outer perimeter towards the inner region. The plurality of slots extends inward from the outer perimeter of the insulating blanket define the outer region and the inner region. The outer region has a plurality of flap members and the inner region has a center member.
