Humanized and variant antibodies provided are useful in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with activated or elevated TGF-?1, including cancer, and for modulating immune cells and immune response, including immune response to cancer or cancer antigens, and in fibrotic conditions. The anti-TGF-?1 antibodies, variable regions or CDR domain sequences thereof, and fragments thereof may also be used in lymphoid cell-mediated, including T cell-mediated, therapy and/or combination with chemotherapeutics, immune modulators, or anti-cancer agents and/or with other antibodies or fragments thereof.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for varying a trim of a vehicle are provided. A nose cone assembly for a vehicle includes an angle cone portion and a nose cone portion rotatably coupled to the angle cone portion. The angle cone portion and the nose cone portion are arranged such that a plane of rotation between the angle cone portion and the nose cone portion is slanted at an angle relative to a plane perpendicular to a long axis of the vehicle. The angle cone portion rotates relative to the vehicle body about the long axis. The nose cone portion rotates relative to the angle cone portion about an axis normal to the plane of rotation. A tip of the nose cone portion varies in position relative to the long axis of the vehicle based on the rotation of the angle cone portion and the rotation of the nose cone portion.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for driving rotational elements of a vehicle are provided. The apparatus includes a first driving member configured to rotate a first rotational element of the vehicle relative to a body of the vehicle. The apparatus also includes a second driving member. The second driving member includes a drive structure rotatably coupled to the body. The second driving member also includes a gimbal element coupled to the drive structure via a first joint pin. The gimbal element is configured to couple to a second rotational element of the vehicle such that when the drive structure is rotated relative to the body, the second rotational element rotates relative to the first rotational element. The gimbal element is configured to pivot about the first joint pin relative to the drive structure based on the rotation of the first rotational element and the rotation of the second rotational element.

Abstract: A pacifier assembly includes a teat holder component having a teat connector on a first side thereof and a display face on a second side thereof. A soft elastomeric pacifier teat is preferably securely mounted to the teat connector. A plurality of gemstones is mounted to the display face, preferably in an aesthetically pleasing decorative pattern. Glitter material may be added to the decorative pattern in order to enhance the decorative effect. The pacifier further includes a mouth plate and a protective cover. The protective cover is preferably mounted to the teat holder so as to prevent infants, small children and consumers from touching for gemstones. The protective cover is further preferably constructed so that the gemstones may be visible to infants, small children and consumers therethrough.

Abstract: A toilet training device for children that is placed over existing toilet seats has handles that extend into and out of the training device. The handles are individually adjustable and are capable of assisting a child in being able to have a secure grip on the training device. Additionally, stand members are provided that enable the training device to be stored in a convenient fashion.

Abstract: A disposable pad for use with pets is compact, simple to use and promotes improved hygiene in handling pet waste. The pad has an absorbent top layer and a bottom layer that is fabricated from a nonabsorbent material such as plastic. A pouch is located at one side of the disposable pad. After an animal relieves itself on the absorbent layer, the pad is folded and rolled into a compact shape. It is then placed within the pouch for disposal.

The removable blanket is preferably constructed so as to be completely removable from the outer cover for washing and replacement and is further preferably constructed so as to be reversible, with an attachment mechanism that permits it to be secured to the outer cover with either surface facing the pet. An inner bed assembly is positioned within the enclosed space that preferably includes a perimeter bolster portion and an interior cushion portion. The perimeter bolster cushion has a greater height than the interior cushion portion and its uncompressed state and is less compressible than the interior cushion.

A washable pillow is removably secured to an upper surface of the support platform by attachment structure such as a zipper. The pillow may be used to support an infant either when it is attached to the support platform or on its own when it is disattached from the support platform. Both the support platform and the back support member are preferably constructed so as to be well-ventilated for the comfort of the user.

Abstract: A curry brush for grooming an animal includes a flexible, elastomeric body portion that has a socket defined therein for receiving a relatively rigid container. A plurality of flexible tines extend outwardly from the body portion. The container may be removed from the socket when desired for purposes such as refilling and/or cleaning and is preferably used to store a liquid such as shampoo. The container provides added longitudinal stiffness to the curry brush but permits a limited flexure to occur that is advantageous to a user both in gripping the curry brush and in controlling the curry brush during grooming.

Abstract: A significantly improved leash has a strap or belt with a carabiner at a lower end and a loop at an upper end. The loop may be a preconfigured holding loop or it may be an adjustable loop that can be adjusted by clipping a carabiner into eyelets in the leash. The leash permits even an animal that is pulling strongly on the leash to be held in check, by a hand grip disposed in the holding loop, or adjacent to the holding loop.

The microscope includes a stand (12), a stage (20) supported by the stand for holding a specimen to be viewed, a lens assembly (30, 34) for providing a magnified view of the specimen on the stage, and image capture circuitry (40) for creating an image signal representative of the magnified view of the specimen. The image capture circuitry (40) includes memory for storing the image signal for subsequent retrieval and display. The microscope also includes a computing device with its own Internet protocol address that permits remote computers to access and view images taken by the microscope via a communications network such as the Internet.

Abstract: A feeding apparatus that has particular utility for feeding infants, small children and adults that are at risk for choking on soft food includes a mesh enclosure that is open at a first end and closed at a second end. A mesh holder engages and holds open the first open end of the mesh enclosure and has an opening communicating with the interior of the mesh enclosure through which food may be inserted into the mesh enclosure. A closure mechanism is mounted to the mesh holder for movement between a first open position wherein the opening is uncovered and food may be inserted or removed from the mesh enclosure and a second closed position wherein the food is secured within the mesh enclosure. The closure mechanism advantageously remains engaged with the mesh holder in both the first and second positions.
