  • Patent number: 11972140
Abstract: In an embodiment, a system may support programmable hashing of address bits at a plurality of levels of granularity to map memory addresses to memory controllers and ultimately at least to memory devices. The hashing may be programmed to distribute pages of memory across the memory controllers, and consecutive blocks of the page may be mapped to physically distant memory controllers. In an embodiment, address bits may be dropped from each level of granularity, forming a compacted pipe address to save power within the memory controller. In an embodiment, a memory folding scheme may be employed to reduce the number of active memory devices and/or memory controllers in the system when the full complement of memory is not needed.

  • Publication number: 20230401521
Abstract: Systems and methods herein describe receiving a transport request from a first device, transmitting the transport request to a second device, causing the second device to display a first instruction, determining that a current location of a securable container associated with the second device matches the first location, based on the determination, generating a first access code operable to access the securable container, and transmitting the first access code to a third device, receiving an indication that the securable container has been opened using the first access code, based on the indication, causing the second device to display a second instruction, determining that a subsequent location of the securable container matches the second location, based on the determination, generating a second access code and transmitting the second access code to the first device; and receiving a subsequent indication that the securable container has been opened using the second access code.

  • Publication number: 20150019277
Abstract: One or more embodiments provide for automated management of lumping services. A method includes managing collection of on-site facility lumping services data. Payment collection is managed for the lumping services. Customer integrated file uploads containing data elements for field operations related to the lumping services is provided. Automated check-in and check-out of drivers at facilities for tracking lumping services is provided. Purchase orders for the lumping services are scheduled. Fee assessment for the purchase orders is performed. A determination is made for an initiated refund request for one or more of the purchase orders. Granted refund requests are dynamically processed for the one or more purchase orders. One or more status displays for the lumping services is provided.

  • Publication number: 20040037929
Abstract: A method and apparatus for safely preparing food items is provided. A food item is placed in a container with an open top. The container holds a secondary receptacle with a lucid substance therein. A covering is placed over the top of the container to hold both the food item and secondary receptacle within the walls of the container. Prior to breaking the seal of the top covering, or in the process of breaking the seal of the top covering, the secondary receptacle may be pierced. Breaking the seal of the secondary receptacle forces the contents stored therein to exit the secondary receptacle and to come in contact with the food item stored in the container. The process of breaking the seal of the secondary container enables the food item in the container to be marinated without subjecting the food item to unnecessary handling or external sources of contamination.

  • Patent number: 5124534
Abstract: The improved heating coil support and insulation mechanism of the present invention is intended for use in regard to electrical heating assemblies which include heating coils supported and electrically insulated by means of coil support insulators, and each of which includes an insulator body and coil engagement means attached to the insulator body for engaging the convolutions of the heating coil. In the improvement of the present invention support rods have a locking projection disposed from a longitudinal surface thereof. The insulator body has a pair of support rod apertures extending therethrough, which have a rod support locking projection accommodation slots therein for initially receiving passage therethrough of the locking projection of the support rod.

  • Patent number: 5107918
Abstract: Apparatus and method useful in temperature control system for a predetermined area that employs a user friendly electronic thermostat that can be programmed intuitively and which is impossible to incorrectly program. Further, the electronic thermostat needs no periodic maintenance checks because it employs a super capacitor to supply electrical energy to memory if power is temporarily lost. A large display means is responsive to the operator's programming as the programming is being performed, in addition to other times.

  • Patent number: 4340202
Abstract: A four way valve assembly is provided which includes a main valve member operable by independent pilot valve actuation. The independent pilot operation means that the main valve stroke can be varied over a relatively wide range, enabling the valve to be produced in a number of sizes without requiring redesign of the pilot valve portion of the valve. A pilot body is mounted to the main valve and has a movable plunger of a conventional solenoid actuator attached to it. The plunger extends within the pilot body and has a loose fitting pilot slide mounted to its free end. The relative loose fitting pilot slide reduces the need for close manufacturing tolerances for the component parts used in constructing the pilot valve portion of the valve. The pilot slide is maintained in sealed relationship with a wall of the pilot body by relatively high pressure fluid passing through the pilot valve body.

  • Patent number: 4239177
Abstract: A regulator valve having a balanced port construction is provided with a balanced piston design, the piston being operated under positive control in all valve positions. The piston regulates fluid flow through the valve. The piston is operatively connected to a heat motor, and the electrical energy input to the heat motor is used to adjust piston position. Because of the balanced piston design, valve operation is dependent solely upon electrical energy input to the heat motor, and precise control of a refrigeration system, for example, may be maintained.
