Publication number: 20230324215Abstract: A method for calibrating a process by which a weight of a material in a dump body of a machine is computed. The method includes acquiring first values correspondingly from one or more strain sensors in an unladen state of the dump body; activating an actuator to push the dump body against the strain sensors to simulate one or more forces exertable by one or more payloads in a laden state of the dump body; and acquiring second values correspondingly from the strain sensors when the actuator is activated to simulate the forces. Further, the method includes using the first values and the second values to calibrate the process.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Applicant: Caterpillar Underground Mining Pty, Ltd.Inventors: Alexander Eli Dowling, Steven Edward Johnson

Patent number: 11779739Abstract: A customizable drug delivery system and method utilizing a laser pattern generator (LPG) to define application of a drug delivery payload (DDP) contained within a drug delivery device (DDD) to a drug delivery target (DDT) is disclosed. A computer control device (CCD) supervises the LPG to select a drug payload pathway (DPP) from a drug pathway database (DPD) and writes the selected DPP to the DDD. This pathway patterning process (PPP) modifies the hydrophilic properties of the DDD and enables the DDD to selectively attract and absorb the DDP. The DDD is then injected with the DDP or exposed for drug exposure time (DET) by the CCD and DPD during which the DPP written to the DDD absorbs a controlled amount of DDP. The DDD when subsequently inserted into a drug delivery target (DDT) delivers the DDP to the DDT under controlled delivery rates defined by the DPP and the DET.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2019Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Inventors: Ruth Sahler, Steven Edward Smathers

Patent number: 11758893Abstract: A trolling spreader bar is configured with a central body and a plurality of fishing lures as an assembly to mimic a small school of fish, wherein each lure can have a keel. The keel is angled to urge the lure assembly continually to one side or the other from what would be the normal straight line of travel of a trolling vessel. By attaching an angled keel directly to the lure/spreader bar one is able to easily set lines behind the vessel at varying angles and distances which greatly increase the width of the full trolling lure spread. The spreader bar can further be configured to have a counterweight directly attached to it to provide increased stability to the bar during trolling.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2022Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: STERLING TACKLEInventors: Steven Edward Breunig, Elliot Breunig
