  • Patent number: 11297486
Abstract: A device may include a processor configured to collect historical location data for a user equipment (UE) device associated with a user and determine a movement pattern for the user based on the collected historical location data. The processor may be further configured to obtain current location data for the UE device over a time period; determine a mobility score for the user for the time period based on the determined movement pattern and the obtained current location data, wherein the mobility score is associated with the user's movements during the time period with respect to the determined movement pattern for the user; and provide the determined mobility score for the user to another device configured to adjust one or more parameters of a radio access network (RAN) associated with the UE device based on the determined mobility score.

  • Patent number: 11240131
Abstract: A device may collect network performance data associated with a user equipment of a network. The network performance data may include information associated with a plurality of performance indicators of the network. The device may process information associated with a first portion of the plurality of performance indicators to determine a first performance category experience score, and information associated with a second portion of the plurality of performance indicators to determine a second performance category experience score. The device may process the first performance category experience score and the second performance category experience score to determine a network experience score. The device may determine whether the network experience score satisfies a threshold value. The device may perform one or more actions based on determining that the network experience score satisfies the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10966115
Abstract: A network device implements a control node that receives an indication of a session associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein the network device is connected to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, and the LTE network is interconnected with a Next Generation (Next Gen) Network. The control node determines one or more parameters associated with at least one of: a relative traffic loading of the LTE network and the Next Gen Network, a quantity of first cells within the LTE network and a quantity of second cells within the Next Gen Network, a movement status of the UE, a quantity of data associated with the session, or a latency sensitivity of the session. The control node causes the session to be selectively routed to the UE via either the LTE network or the Next Gen Network, or via both the LTE network and the Next Gen Network, based on the one or more determined parameters.

  • Patent number: 7027150
Abstract: Corrosion of refractory silica brick and air quality issues due to particulate emissions are two important glass manufacturing issues that have been tied to sodium vapor and its transport throughout the melt tank. Knowledge of the relationship between tank operating conditions and tank atmosphere sodium levels are therefore important considerations in correcting corrosion and air quality issues. However, until recently direct quantitative measurements of sodium levels has been limited to extractive sampling methods followed by laboratory analysis. Excimer laser induced fragmentation (ELIF) fluorescence spectroscopy is a technique that permits the measurement of volatilized NaOH in high temperature environments on a timescale of less than one second. The development of this method and the construction of field-portable instrumentation for glass furnace applications are herein disclosed. The method is shown to be effective in full-scale industrial settings.

  • Publication number: 20040221507
Abstract: Experiments were conducted to investigate the reforming of organic compounds (primarily methanol) in supercritical water at 550° C.-700° C. and 27.6 MPa in a tubular Inconel® 625 reactor. The results show that methanol can be completely converted to a product stream that is low in methane and near the equilibrium composition of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. The effect of reactor temperature, feed concentration of methanol, and residence time on both conversion and product gas composition are presented.
