  • Publication number: 20120216039
Abstract: A method of enabling key handling for a handover between different domains may include determining whether an indication of a potential key mismatch is present responsive to an attempt to conduct a handover between a first domain and a second domain, and defining validity of a most recent key set used for ciphering communication between a mobile terminal and a network device based on a result of the determining.

  • Publication number: 20120207011
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer product are provided that may respond to an unrecoverable error without initiating a cell update procedure. In an instance in which more than one connection is concurrently supported in either the circuit switched domain, the packet switched domain or both, the method, apparatus and computer program product may avoid interrupting or terminating the connection that did not experience the unrecoverable error. For example, in an instance in which the unrecoverable error occurred on a radio bearer for a data service connection, such as a packet switched data call, the method, apparatus and computer program product may address the unrecoverable error without disruption of a connection for a voice service, such as a circuit switched voice call.

  • Publication number: 20120202480
Abstract: Based on the determined signal strength of a serving cell, a choice is made whether to utilize a cell-FACH measurement occasion for a lower priority neighbor cell search or for a higher priority neighbor cell search. The lower priority neighbor cell search is for maintaining wireless connectivity and the higher priority neighbor cell search is for accessing enhanced wireless service. In specific examples the search may be inter-frequency for frequency layers with higher or lower priority than a serving layer of the serving cell, or the search may be inter-RAT such as the lower priority GERAN search and a higher priority E-UTRAN search if the serving cell is WCDMA. In one example there are two thresholds for the signal strength, and if higher than both then the measurement occasion is used for an E-UTRAN search regardless of whether GERAN or inter-frequency neighbour cells have been configured for the UE practicing the invention.

  • Publication number: 20110274085
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments of the invention provide at least a method, apparatus, and computer program to detect a single radio voice call continuity activation event indicating a handover of a user equipment between a packet switched domain and a circuit switched domain, consistent with a serving radio network subsystem relocation procedure, suspend control plane signaling radio bearers, reset the suspended signaling radio bearers, and resume the suspended signaling radio bearers in the domain handed over to, where resuming comprises protecting control plane signaling radio bearers of a domain handed over to using a same mapped security key that is used to cipher user plane radio access bearers in the domain handed over to.

  • Publication number: 20100220862
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate security in response to a handover from an initial network to a subsequent network, such as a handover between a packet-switched network and a circuit-switched network. The method, apparatus and computer program product may provide at least one security key for use in the subsequent network following handover from the initial network such that communications conducted via the subsequent network, including initial communications, may be secure. In order to provide at least one security key for use in the subsequent network, at least one security key of the initial network may be identified along with a nonce in response to a determination that a handover is to be made. The at least one security key of the subsequent network may then be determined based upon the at least one security key of the initial network and the nonce.

  • Publication number: 20090028085
Abstract: A method comprising interrupting the reception of a first transmission to receive a predetermined channel; determining from receipt of said predetermined channel first timing information associated with a second channel; and interrupting the reception of said first transmission at a time defined by said first timing information to receive said second channel.

  • Publication number: 20030064853
Abstract: A hydrodynamic retarder has an outer housing and an inner housing. A planetary carrier shaft member is rotatably supported on taper roller bearings located in the outer housing. The taper roller bearings are positioned between a shoulder on the shaft and a retaining nut or fastener which is threadably secured to the shaft. A Belleville or Belleville spring is positioned between the retaining nut and the inner race of one of the roller bearings. The retaining nut is secured such that the Belleville spring is flattened thereby applying maximum force to the inner race. The force is transmitted through the first roller bearing, the outer housing, the outer race of a second roller bearing, the second rollers and the second inner race. The Belleville spring will accommodate axial movement between the retaining nut and the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6145842
Abstract: A torque converter has a lip seal abutting the torque converter impeller control pump drive hub. The drive hub is rotatably supported in a transmission housing. Oil from the drive hub side of the bushing passes through the bushing into a chamber sealed from atmosphere by the lip seal. The lip seal has a component rotatably sealing on a diameter greater than the drive hub diameter. The bushing, in one embodiment, has a control passage for exhausting a portion of the oil from the control pump side prior to reaching the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5880927
Abstract: A fastener for a reverse fed panelboard circuit breaker is taught. Briefly stated, a resilently deformable pivoting member is disposed between side barrier fins in a two pole panelboard breaker. A pin at one end of the fastener is placed through a screw hole which is contained in the panelboard and disposed between the side barriers of the panelboard breaker, with the fastener rotatably urged towards the breaker so as to, when fully rotated causes the breaker retention tab to be urged against the panelboard retention hook and also for the fastener to lay against and come in contact with the edge of the panelboard breaker thereby preventing removal of the breaker without first removing the fastener.
