  • Patent number: 6002980
Abstract: A system and method for measuring individual cylinder power contribution by cutting out individual cylinders of a multi-cylinder engine and performing a snap-throttle test on the engine. Engine speed versus time data is collected and stored during each snap-throttle test. This data is then used to calculate the power contribution provided by each cylinder using various methods, such as a least squares analysis of the speed data or by an analysis of the kinetic energy of the test engine.

  • Patent number: 5336109
Abstract: A stacked connector assembly is disclosed which includes two connectors attached to a bracket which, in turn, is attached to the surface of a printed circuit board. The bracket is of unitary construction and includes two side members interconnected by two lateral members. Openings are provided in the bracket through which solder tails of the two connectors extend. Each of the side members includes surface portions that mount to the connectors and to the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5192228
Abstract: A shielded surface mount electrical connector (10) that has an insulative housing (18) having at least one compliant surface mount contact (30) secured therein. The shield (12) has at least one boardlock (14) integral therewith. The boardlock (14) has at least one spring (78 or 80) for reception in a boardlock receiving aperture (74) in a circuit board (16) on which the connector (10) is mounted. The spring (78 or 80) has at least one barb (92) thereon positioned along the spring (78 or 80) to engage the wall of the boardlock receiving aperture (74).

  • Patent number: 5007862
Abstract: A circular cross section dielectric housing (4) of a circular DIN shielded electrical connector (2, 2') for mounting in a vertical position on a circuit board, is provided on its bottom face (16) with angular orienting lugs (54). An outer shield (10) which defines a circular seat for the dielectric housing (4) has a bottom wall (106) defining a hole (108) for receiving contact tails (44) on electrical terminals (12) in the housing (4). The bottom wall (106) of the shield (110) has notches (122, 124) therein for receiving the orienting lugs (54). The angular orientation of the housing (4) with respect to the shield (10) can be selected by aligning each lug (54) with a chosen notch (122, 124) in the bottom wall (106) of the shield when assembling the housing (4) to the shield (10).

  • Patent number: 4678448
Abstract: A device for thumping and flushing a kinescope funnel includes a lift member which moves horizontally to engage the funnel and then vertically to raise the funnel to a thump position. A means for centering and orienting the neck moves in unison with the lift member. A thumper is arranged to thump the funnel in the thump position. A probe vertically moves to enter the funnel through the neck and inject a flushing fluid into the funnel while thumping occurs.
