  • Patent number: 10973943
Abstract: A scented plug-in night light provides a pedestal for variable, interchangeable thematic character statuettes, which are illuminated by the scented plug-in night light. The scented plug-in night light is optionally provided with a digital clock incorporated into the housing for the scented night light to turn on the night at specified times to illuminate a child's favorite thematic character, which can serve as an inducement for a child who is reluctant to observe bedtime. • Patent number: 10890303
Abstract: Lamp shades are provided with ornamentation utilizing light pipes and fiber optics, using light pipe technology to provide an ornamented shade. For lampshades of the truncated conical shape type, this light pipe ornamentation includes light emitting top and/or bottom circular rims, as well as an optional light emitting central thematic character/logo figure in 3D relief. Light is transmitted from the interior of the shade to illuminate the light pipe features, or from fiber optic electrically conductive wires/cables, which may include circular light pipes attached as integrally formed top and bottom rims of the lamp shade. Alternatively, the circular decorative light pipes may be formed by a plurality of arcuate segments, which, when joined together, form a circular rim, where light may be diffused and sent through the segments. The translucent light pipe elements may be injection molded of tinted light guide grade plastic resin.

  • Patent number: 10743796
Abstract: A foot sensor alarm for wheelchairs, detects if a wheelchair occupant's foot has fallen off of a wheelchair footrest. The sensor and alarm make a wheelchair occupant or care giver aware that a foot has fallen off of one or more of the footrests. Sensors may include contact closure sensors, with snap-action switches or magnetically actuated reed switches can be used. Battery-operated window alarms with piezoelectric sound emitters send out vibratory or audio sounds as alarms. An occupancy sensor seat pad is used to power up the alarm system. A flashing light emitting diode can be wired in parallel with each sound emitter to provide a visual alarm as well.
