Abstract: A method of determining a management course for treating a subject showing symptoms of a disease is disclosed. The method comprises measuring the TRAIL protein level in a blood sample of the subject, wherein when the TRAIL level is above a predetermined amount, the subject is treated as a low-risk patient.

Abstract: A driving tool which slidingly penetrates and engages a rectangular socket formed in one end of a screw or the like. The screw is preferably a dental implant having a threaded and polygonal female socket. The tool has two opposed jaws dimensioned and configured to be received in close cooperation with the socket. The jaws are spaced apart by a gap and compress slightly as they penetrate the socket. The jaws frictionally and resiliently engage the socket, thus enabling the screw to be grasped, maneuvered, and rotatably threaded into place without requiring threaded engagement of tool and screw. The tool is slidably withdrawn after the screw is tightened.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided that operates in conjunction with a processor having registers and associated caches and a memory. A load management module monitors loads that return data to the registers, including bus requests generated in response to loads that miss in one or more of the caches. A cache miss register includes entries, each of which is associated with one of the registers. A mapping module maps a bus request to a register and sets a bit in a cache miss register entry associated with the register when the bus request is directed to a higher level structure in the memory system.

Abstract: A package for a compact disc and a booklet of lyrics. The package comprises an outer container and an inner sleeve with the inner sleeve being divided into two compartments, one for the compact disk and a separate compartment for the booklet. The inner sleeve is capable of being received within the outer container in either of two positions, one for long term storage and a second for short term storage, the latter providing easier access to the compact disk. A disc holding mechanism holds the disc in the inner sleeve.
