    Abstract: An earphone and microphone adapter consists of a housing, with a cellular telephone interface on the housing connecting a cellular telephone with an audio circuit. Audio input to the audio circuit received via the cellular telephone interface passes through the audio circuit to an earphone interface where it can be heard by a user. Audio input to the audio circuit received via a microphone interface passes through the audio circuit to the cellular telephone interface where it can be heard by a remote listener.
