    Abstract: Disclosed is an insulated shipping container for transporting temperature-controlled materials and method of making the same. In a preferred embodiment, the insulated shipping container comprises an outer box or housing and a plurality of insulated inserts configured to be snugly and removably received in the outer box or housing. The plurality of insulated inserts are shaped to define a rectangular cavity bounded by a bottom wall and a plurality of rectangular side walls and top closure flaps. The insulated inserts as well the outer box or housing of the disclosed device can be stored flat and reused.

    Abstract: A reinforcement device for reinforcing the hand-hold of a box is provided. The box has a top edge, a bottom edge, an inside surface, and an outside surface. The hand-hold is formed between the top edge and the bottom edge and has a first hand-hold edge, a second hand-hold edge substantially opposite the first hand-hold edge, a third hand-hold edge between the first hand-hold edge and the second hand-hold edge, and a fourth hand-hold edge opposite the third hand-hold edge. The reinforcement device comprises a handle member positionable about the first hand-hold edge and at least a portion of the third hand-hold edge and the fourth hand-hold edge. A securing mechanism secures the handle to the box between the hand-hold and the top edge of the box.

Cushioning is secured to at least one of the panel portions for cushioning the article wherein the panel portions fold into a three-dimensional receptacle forming an open corner cushioning device for protecting the corners and sides of an article. A securing mechanism on the panel member secures for securing the panel member within the box wherein the article is securable within the box.
