  • Publication number: 20090141896
Abstract: A processing module operating method includes using a processing module physically connected to a wireless communications device, requesting that the wireless communications device retrieve encrypted code from a web site and receiving the encrypted code from the wireless communications device. The wireless communications device is unable to decrypt the encrypted code. The method further includes using the processing module, decrypting the encrypted code, executing the decrypted code, and preventing the wireless communications device from accessing the decrypted code.

  • Publication number: 20080060396
Abstract: An improved actuator used to operate one or more locks on a vehicle. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are configured to lock and unlock multiple locks sequentially rather than simultaneously, allowing for the use of smaller and less expensive motors. Actuator nosepieces can also be changed out allowing the actuators to be easily used with different kinds of locking mechanisms. The actuating member is locked and unlocked by way of a compression spring and plunger assembly that is more robust than a torsion spring as in prior art.

  • Publication number: 20080012365
Abstract: A bumper system that is relatively inexpensive, easy to install and replace, and that significantly eliminates or reduces bumper or vehicle damage from low impact collisions. In a preferred embodiment, the use of multiple bumper pads, each having multiple crush cells and formed from a suitably elastic material, serves to significantly reduce or eliminate damage to the vehicle resulting from a low-impact collision. The present invention is particularly suited for bumper systems used on work trucks, delivery vehicles, utility vehicles, or fleet vehicles.

  • Patent number: 7287060
Abstract: A system and method for an e-mail rating system, where e-mail senders are evaluated based upon past performance. When an individual receives an email message and determines it to be SPAM, they notify a central database, repository or server. This central server, known as a Span Detection Server or SDS, maintains a list of e-mail senders and their associated spam rating. Spam thresholds are applied to incoming e-mail by a spam filter in conjunction with the SDS. Depending upon the sender's rating as compared to these thresholds, a received message is classified as desirable, undesirable or conditional.

  • Patent number: 6831982
Abstract: Initially, a key range variable is created by concatenating the card group value, card number and reference number for an encryption key to be generated. A hashing algorithm generates an encryption key from a master key and the variable key range variable. The encryption key and the key range variable are output to the caller who requested the key. The encryption key is used to encrypt the information, while the variable key range is stored with the encrypted data. Generation of a decryption key requires a user call for a decryption key and includes the key range variable from the encrypted data. A hashing algorithm generates a decryption key from the master key and the key range variable. The decryption key is used to decrypt the information.
