  • Patent number: 7587202
Abstract: In a mobile device having a primary baseband circuit and a secondary baseband circuit and an interface between the primary baseband circuit and a secondary baseband circuit, a method for testing the interface and primary and secondary baseband circuits comprising the steps of: setting the secondary baseband circuit into a loopback mode; sending a test signal from the primary baseband circuit to the secondary baseband circuit; receiving at the primary baseband circuit a second signal, the second signal being the first signal looped back from the secondary baseband circuit; and comparing the second signal with an expected result.

  • Publication number: 20080005336
Abstract: Transfer policy management methods in a peer-to-peer networking environment such as BitTorrent are provided. A download TPM maximizes the usage of available bandwidth, while focusing on as few torrents as possible. For a given list of torrents, a peer in accordance with the present invention determines how many download connections to maintain at a given time in order to maximize usage of bandwidth. If the variance of per-connection bandwidths exceeds a threshold, more connections are added until either variance does not exceed the threshold or a maximum number of connections are established. A seeding peer determines when to reduce the number of files being seeded by monitoring its average upload rate per torrent. If its average rate falls below a threshold, then the peer stops seeding a file. The file that the peer stops seeding is one to which the peer is making the smallest overall contribution.

  • Publication number: 20060046651
Abstract: A method and system for the configuration of a mobile station baseband circuit for an acoustic accessory having an identifier, the method comprising the steps of: determining whether the mobile device recognizes the identifier of the acoustic device; and configuring the baseband circuit with a DSP filter response and CODEC acoustic gain parameters for the acoustic device if the mobile device recognizes the identifier of the acoustic device. The system comprising: an identifier for each of the plurality of acoustic devices; a local memory in the mobile station storing a frequency (filter) response and gain parameters for at least one of the plurality of acoustic devices and for mapping them to the identifier; and a digital signal processor to re-shape an acoustic frequency response and adjust an audio gain of a baseband circuit for the mobile station based on the stored frequency response and gain parameters.
