  • Publication number: 20210176553
Abstract: An ear tip device for padding an in-ear headphone includes a cylinder, which comprises silicone and viscoelastic polyurethane foam so that the cylinder is resiliently compressible. A channel is axially positioned in and extends through the cylinder. The channel is configured to expand to allow insertion of a headphone and to contract to couple the cylinder to the headphone. The cylinder is configured to be compressed between digits of a hand of a user, positioning the user to at least partially insert the cylinder into an ear canal of the user. The cylinder is positioned to expand to conform to the ear canal and to couple the cylinder to the ear. The cylinder is configured to attenuate ambient noise and to direct a sound transmitted by the headphone to an eardrum of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210146553
Abstract: A mechanical hand mimics a human hand having similar degrees of freedom and sensory abilities while appearing visually similar to human hand. The mechanical hand comprises a mechanical hand skeleton and resilient elastomer (e.g., silicone) skin that fully encloses the mechanical hand skeleton. The mechanical hand skeleton may advantageously be molded directly into the resilient elastomer (e.g., silicone) skin such that the hand appears, moves, and feels very similar to a real human hand. The mechanical hand may have applications in robotics, for example as an end-of-arm tool or end effector, or may have other applications. Robotic applications may include prosthetics applications.

  • Publication number: 20160315857
Abstract: An overlay network is enhanced to provide traffic delivery using anycast and end user mapping. An anycast IP address is associated with sets of forwarding machines positioned in the overlay network. These locations correspond with IP addresses for zero rated billing traffic. In response to receipt at a forwarding machine of a packet, the machine issues an end user mapping request to the mapping mechanism. The mapping request has an IP address associated with the client from which the end user request originates. The mapping mechanism resolves the request and provides a response to the request. The response is an IP address associated with a set of server machines distinct from the forwarding machine. The forwarding machine encapsulates the packet and proxies the connection to the identified server. The server receives the connection, decapsulates the request, and processes the packet. The server machine responds to the requesting client directly.
