Abstract: A method for producing a plastic article including a) providing at least one film 10 having a carrier film and at least one decorative layer, b) forming, by means of lasers, at least one first area 21 and at least one second area 22 in the plane formed by the at least one film 10, wherein the at least one second area 22 has a higher transmittance than the at least first area 21, c) arranging at least one varnish layer 12 in the at least one second area 22 by means of digital printing, d) curing, the at least one film 10, and/or the at least one varnish layer 12, e) arranging the at least one film 10, on a substrate 11, f) obtaining a plastic article 1 comprising the at least one first area 21 and the at least one second area 22.
