  • Publication number: 20150110735
Abstract: A centrifugal mixing device can include a shaft assembly that is operably coupled to a motor such that the motor rotates the shaft assembly about a first axis. The devices can further include a turret that is rotatably coupled to the shaft assembly such that the turret rotates about the first axis relative to the shaft assembly. The turret can include a first support, a first canister rotatably coupled to the first support such that the first canister rotates about a second axis, and a second canister rotatably coupled to the first support such that the second canister rotates about a third axis. The turret is configured to rotate about the first axis in a first rotational direction and each of the first and second canisters is configured to rotate about the second and third axes, respectively, in a second rotational direction that is opposite the first rotational direction.

  • Publication number: 20130131570
Abstract: A cervical restraint, traction, and exercise device and method includes a padded restraint system for a person's head, and an adjustable support system. The head may be placed in any of a number of three dimensional orientations until a particular orientation is reached, for example a pain-free or substantially pain-free orientation, and then a restraint system engaged, restraining the head in the particular three dimensional orientation against a set of one or more pads. The system may then be adjusted to apply a traction force. The device may be used in conjunction with a second restraint system that positions and restrains the person's torso. Use of the system may enable the user to perform exercises while certain body parts, including the head and neck, are restrained in pain-free or substantially pain-free positions to obtain therapeutic effects.

  • Publication number: 20080065496
Abstract: Systems and techniques for coordinating data received from radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and additional data input devices. An RFID reader communicates with RFID tags and also receives data from additional input devices that may be correlated with the RFID data. The reader correlates information received from various data sources. Correlation may include validation of RFID data with corresponding data received from other devices. Once data has been received and correlation has been performed, transaction entries are prepared based on the correlated and validated data. Transaction entries may be passed to a data station for processing or logging, or to allow the data station to indicate appropriate actions to be taken. Appropriate software modules used by the reader are changed in response to changes to data input devices or the data station used with the reader.

  • Publication number: 20020042831
Abstract: A process and system for adapting an application created without regard to protocol or device to a particular protocol and device. An application developer may create content in an object oriented fashion using application programming interfaces (APIs) provided by the system. The resultant content may be protocol independent and device independent. When processed by the system, the system may first take the protocol independent and device independent content and render it to become protocol dependent and device independent using engines provided by the system. The system may then take the protocol dependent and device independent content and adapt it based on a resource descriptive framework (RDF) for a device to become protocol dependent and device dependent.
